"C:Altera80quartus". 3. Launch Quartus II, after it loads, it will give you a 3 option "Evaluation Mode" dialog concerning the licensing of the software. Choose "Specify valid license file" and click "OK". 4. Locate your NIC ID "Network Interface Card ID" (12 digits) at the lower part of the "License Setup" form that opened and copy it. 5. Edit the license file "alteralicense.dat" with Notepad. Find (Ctrl+F) and replace each "############" (there should be 17 of those) with your own NIC ID. 6. Specify your new license file by clicking the "..." button in the "License Setup" form and browsing to your Quartus installation dir. 7. Verify that the license was recived successfully by looking at the "Licensed AMPP/MegaCore functions:" table under the "Version" column and verifying that the value for the entire list is "2020.03" then press the "OK" button. Your Quartus should now be licensed until March 2020, hope thats enough~ If not, try retrying the instructins or posting a comment on http://thepiratebay.se/user/The-Duck under the respective torrent. But had problems with the license in one part of the suite, so this torrent isn't the complete suite, but it is working.
You can download modelsim separately and get Quartus II to use it (Tools - Options - EDA Tool Options, then follow the directions on screen).

Most of the time everything works fine. But I had problems when I tried to use the DDR2 controller from SOPC builder. I got the message:
Error (10003): Can't open encrypted VHDL or Verilog HDL file -- current license file does not contain a valid license for encrypted file
The license file is OK for the rest of the quartus.

Does the License file support the Cyclone and the stratix device.
when i try to compile my design using a cyclone III an error message is displayed "Current license file does not support the device".
have i installed the license file on a wrong way.

BUT i am getting this error in the compilation of my code like

Hi, I downloaded and installed the software as according to your instructions but when i try to execute any code i get the following error
Error: Specified license does not contain information required to run the Quartus II software
Please Help
