Description:

So far I have been mostly posting compilations of 80s rarities but I have had a few people who were interested in having the whole albums and requested me to post them. So here is the first part including 4 rare and/or almost impossible to find 80s gems. This is only the first part and there's way more to come! Enjoy!! Blue Zoo - 2 x 2 [1982] Blue Zoo was formed in 1980, Band members were: Mike Ansell on bass, Matthew Flowers (formerly of new wave band "Sore Throat") on keyboards, Pete Lancaster on trumpet, Andy O on vocals, Tim Parry on guitar and Mickey Sparrow on drums. Steve Pond from Inner City Unit played occasional synthesizer. Parry later went on to become a record producer. Blue Zoo had one UK hit single. In October 1982 "Cry Boy Cry" charted and reached number 13. It stayed on the UK Singles Chart's Top 40 for eight weeks. Track listing: 01 Cry Boy Cry 02 John's Lost 03 Far Cry 04 (You Can) Count On Me 05 Love Moves In Strange Ways 06 (I Just Can't ) Forgive And Forget 07 I'm Your Man 08 Open Up 09 Can't Hold Me Down 10 Something Familiar 11 Love One's An Angel 12 Cry Boy Cry [Long Version] 13 Somewhere In The World There's A Cowboy Smiling Stabilizers - Tyranny [1986] The Stabilizers were a pop/rock duo founded in the early 1980s by musicians Dave Christenson and Rich Nevens. With Christenson on lead vocals and Nevens on guitars and occasional keyboards. In 1986, They released Tyranny, their first and only album. The guitar and synth-laced album followed in the style of other 1980s bands such as Duran Duran, Tears for Fears and Mr. Mister. The first single from Tyranny was "One Simple Thing," which peaked at number 21 on the Billboard Mainstream Rock Tracks chart and number 93 on the Billboard Hot 100. Track listing: 01 Tyranny 02 (If I) Found Rome 03 I Don't Need the Pain 04 Now I Hear You 05 One Simple Thing 06 Underground 07 Does Your Love Lie Open 08 A Place to Hide 09 You Pull Me Down Trees - Sleep Convention [1983] Fronted by Dane Conover, Trees was a New Wave one-man band from San Diego, California. Trees only released one album on MCA and produced by Earle Mankey in 1982 called Sleep Convention which was a critical success but a commercial failure due to MCA's problems at the time. And also created 5 Low Budget Music Videos. Reviews included comments like " Pop Music of the Future, and "is a stunning debut which shows remarkable originality and talent. That this record died the commercial death is not just incomprehensible, it's criminal." Dane Conover ended Trees after one album to move on to other projects. Track listing: 01 Come Back 02 Shock Of The New 03 Delta Sleep 04 No Stranger 05 Midnight In America 06 1100 AM 07 Wildwood 08 India 09 Gotta Moon 10 Red Car Two Minds Crack - Victory Parade [1986] Two Minds Crack was a new wave power pop band fronted by Kevin Jones [singer/guitarist and main songwriter]. Victory Parade is a critically acclaimed album and extremely catchy. A must grab for new wave power pop band lovers! Track listing: 01 One Sky Above US 02 Walk On Back 03 The Hunger The Greed 04 Fire 05 Find The Key 06 Cry Cry Cry 07 Upside Down 08 Love Is In Control 09 Live To Die 10 The Sense That Never Sleeps 11 Cry Cry Cry (re-mix) 12 The Hunger The Greed (re-mix) 13 Upside Down (re-mix)

The 80's really hade something extra. The magic in the music is not there today. I discover great bands all the time, never get enough. I doubt I will give a shit about the 00's music in 20 years. 80's forever!
