Hello again!
I have now tried the DVD and it is accepted alright by the car. But when I try to type in a street adress, the suggested streets look like something from Mars and the street name ends with a comma-sign(or something else strange). After this I can not go further. How come? Any parameter to adjust? ( I have tried it in Sweden, if this makes any differens!)

PLEASE READ THIS:
For all of you who have disc read problems with the new 2009-1 Nav-DVD, you HAVE TO update your car software/firmware. I just talked with a friend of me, who is working @ BMW. Some cars might experience problems with reading the disc. it has nothing to do with wrong burning or a wrong dl-dvd (or dvd), you just have to run an update of your internal car software.

i get notice to shutdown system and restart after 5 minutes. this means to shut down car and remove key? i've tried that but then i get reading error. As mr.schoelli wrote, do i need to update system? does anybody have update cd? thanks in advance!!

i downloaded burned with nero 8 but i had nothing happens after the 5 minute wait and restart...
I had my idrive updated 1 week ago.At least they said so...Is there any way to check it myself?
I m gonna burn it again in my mac in 2x speed and post again.

i have burned 4 discs so far with no result.
2 SL and 2 DL with nero and toast.
i downloaded the full size dvd DL also but the same results there, i get the message to restart the system but after the restart an error check dvd message appears.

Hi,
New here, I downloaded and burned the .iso file and all folders and files checked good. I inserted the disk and my idrive does not recognize it. Any sugestion? I am currently using the 2007-2 disk from BMW for my navigation but seriously need speed cam info.

Information about read error problems: In my 2004 E61 530 DAT I got DVD read error after the 5 minute shut down procedure using this torrent. Tried everything to get it work: Burned it on 4 different DVD`s in low speed but nothing helped. My BMW dealer said that I should not have to update the car Navi firmware to get this working as schoelli states. The read error problem was happening to all DVD versions after 2007-1.
I have now solved this by buying a new 2009-2 DVD road map professional from the BMW dealer. It started and worked as it should after the 5 minute shut down. Then I ejected the orginal and switched to this burned DVD (any type and burn speed) and it works perfect at once without any shutdown or errors. Speedcam menu working.
It looks like that orginal BMW DVD Road Map Professinal from 2008 and up have included an hidden update necessary to get the DVD to work with Navis not updated since 2006/7 and this update is not included in the available torrents from 2008 and 2009.

I've just tried the 2009.1 DVD in my Dec 2005 E91 and I'm getting error check dvd message.
I see Schoelli mentions that I need a software update. Where can I get this update from ???
Also where can I find out what version my Nav is ?
