You will need to tell your AV to either stand down
(add exception) or fook off (turn it off) temporarily. There's a gazillion AVs out there, so I can't tell you how to do this on yours. Nod32 is pretty easy to figure out and gives you a lot of control. Although, you will need to pay for it. If you know how to get it without paying for it (safely) then odds are you already know what I've said here and are wasting your time reading it. :p

So, yeah, just grabbed this and it is in a .rar archive. So this means antivirus software won't "see" it until you extract. With that said, nod32 had nothing to say when I did so.

Installation Notes from .nfo file:
Install Setup.exe and make sure NOT to install into stealth mode
(if you do, you may have trouble copying crack over, you have
been warned!). After installation copy precracked exe from the
Crack folder to the installed folder of Spytech SpyAgent, making
sure to overwrite the existing file. You can now launch Spytech
SpyAgent and choose stealth mode to hide the application. Nags
and 30 minute limitation have been removed.
Thats it! Enjoy.
Note: if you want to view .nfo for yourself, open with notepad or an nfo viewer. I recommend "damn nfo viewer."

It installs just fine, but when I copy the cracked sysdiag file over the installation folder and attempt to run the program, I get, "Windows cannot access the specified device, path, or file. You may not have the appropriate permissions to access the item."
Also if it's worth noting - I can cut and paste the cracked file over, but I can't copy and paste it for some reason. If I try to copy it, it tells me I need permission to perform is action, but I'm logged in as administrator....
AV is turned off and I did not install it into stealth mode.

what is a virus?
It's a program or code that does something malicious on your device.
How does anti-virus software detect viruses?
It looks for key-signatures meaning it looks for virus like activity.
What is a keylogger?
A keylogger is a program that logs/records keystrokes/keyboard keys pressed.
Is a keylogger a virus?
There are viruses that are keyloggers. They log keystrokes and record visited websites, pin numbers, passwords, credit card numbers and more. This info is sent of to the hacker and is used. Not all keyloggers are viruses and not all viruses are keyloggers.
Why is my antivirus detecting a keylogger from a game trainer?
The trainer acts like a keylogger. It intercepts keystroke then determines which cheat to activate. When an antivirus software detects a virus from game trainers it's known as a false-positive meaning it acts like a virus(keylogger) but is not a virus.
Why is it detecting Spytech Spyagent as a virus keylogger?
Spyagent is designed to detect and record computer activity. It records keystrokes! Thus this is a false-positive.
Why does it not detect when I install the original software from the website?
This is because when that file installs the install process adds the executable and it's activity on the whitelist. The whitelist is trusted programs. The cracked version executable file is not installed and there has to be manually added to the whitelist of your antivirus software. Note that only the crack is detected as a virus not the install executable!
So then it's not a virus?
Although it acts like a keylogger meaning it's a false-positive doesn't mean it is not a virus.
What do I do now?
You can take the risk and add the crack to your antivirus whitelist but risk infection. 90% of keygens, cracks and trainers are detected as false-positive, acts like a virus but not a virus. Alternatively, you can circumvent risk or infection by either not downloading and installing or buy the software from the software website.

So for all you people who found that explanation too complicated... Spyagent acts like a virus keylogger, it records and saves computer activity. If the software website installer as well as this installer did not add spyagent to your security whitelist profile then even the software downloaded from the spyagent website would be detected as keylogger trogan because it function is a record computer activity in the background. The crack which you copy over the original still contains the program spyagent but is not registered on your system whitelist and therefore antivirus detects virus.
So for all you people talking about vaginas and std and security systems (applies in real world not in computer world) better check if you not diseased as it can cause one to become slightly retarded. Best to keep their mouth shut preventing it from i think I just caught the stupid...pun intended.

Some of you have obviously never used cracked software. The patch works just fine. Both Malwarebytes and combofix do not detect a threat. AVG detects a FALSE POSITVE which is to be expected with some patches. Avg > Malwarebytes + Combofix?? Don’t think so Tim.
