================
It would be an understatement to say that the title of this anthology is wildly optimistic.
Regardless, the stories included here are very good and the performances are exemplary

Looks interesting. Thank you!Mike1947 (2008-06-09)
Yes, thanks very much.Monomatapa (2008-06-09)
Interesting but sure as hell not the greatest sf-stories of the past century.(always have to laugh at claims like those :P )

I listened to all of the Audio Books in this, and was quite suprised on how good they where. While most Sci Fi fans have been spoiled by Orson Scott Card and others like him, this presents great stories, in a consise manner and reminded me why I love Sci fi. It makes you question what if.minutten (2008-07-21)
How on earth can anyone make a "greatest sci-fi stories" list without including "2001"? Or "androids sleep"? Or "starship troopers"?A more proper name would be "Some Sci-Fi Stories".
MattDWeed (2008-08-11)
Very good stories that I would highly suggest.I have to agree that is not the "Greatest," but then again it seems like claims like those are much more common these days with every week the new movie being the number one movie in America. Also, it is just the title, so there does not seem to be any justification for getting so worked up.
I have only listened to the first three so far, but have enjoyed them very much.
Thanks.

the quality is good. better than I was expecting from a cassatte rip.The stories aren't the "Greatest" of the 20th Century for sure, but they're ok...
They're well read, especially "Why I Left Harry's All-Night Hamburgers" by Wil Wheaton (not a great story at all, but he reads it really well IMO)
framitz (2008-09-09)
Certainly not the best Sci-fi of the 20th century, but sci-fi by SOME of the best writers of the 20th century. Several of the very best are not represented. Thanks!

Sure enough the stories are some of the best ever. The reading is also fantastic.
Audio quality is excellent.
Cheers and thanks deandominic!

You rule. These are great stories and the readers are excellent. Thank you!I only wish there were more sci-fi here.

Great stories, and very good quality sound. However, the story "Jeffty is Five" gets cut off at the end. I've tried downloading it several times, but the same thing keeps happening. I can't hear the end of the story, so could someone either upload a complete copy of that story, or tell me the ending? PLEASE!? I gotta know how it ends!mais (2008-12-16)
love sci fi, thanksAleksaynvy (2009-01-24)

Fine upload, good stories.I wish the publishers would stop using that awful music in the intro, muddling up and making it hard to hear the beginning of each story.

"Greatest"? No Asimov, Heinlein, Van Vogt?I don't think so.
