Installation path shouldnt include space or non letter characters. Use path like "c:\lanoire". You should reinstall the game.
BTW i've done as i said but it doesnt work, at least i could apply the patch.

Yeah, the patcher isn't working for me either. Also on Win 7 x64. I've tried just about everything I can think of to get it to run with no luck.
When I double-click it, nothing happens except for it running at 50% indefinitely. Nothing gets changed, no new files, etc. It just runs in the background until I end the task in Task Manager.

Install

copy the patch, run it. then install Social Club.
Paste the cracked files.
Create offline profile to save games.

ok so this worked for me: after copying patch in game directory, make desktop shortcut FOR PATCH. then restart in safe mode, without internet. click desktop shortcut to patch and VOILA! after patching in safe mode i also instaled social and cipied .dlls. after restarting in normal windows jsut firewall game and social .exes and ready to play

If you guys have followed the instructions and you still get stuck "synchronising" at the main menu, try extracting "Social Club v1.0.5.0 Setup.exe" manually with 7-Zip. Then find the "socialclub.dll" file inside the extracted folder and copy it to the LA Noire main folder. Worked for me.

Oh that reminds me: About the patch.
Make sure your final install directory does NOT have a space in it. So if it is "LA Noire" (space in the middle) the patch wont run. If its a single word like "Lanoire" or as I wrote it: "Noire" it will.
I haven't had any problem with my firewall/anti-virus (I use Comodo) for patch installation. No false positives.

Hey everyone I found the solution for error in LANoire.exe stopped working, that's the Kaspersky conflict in detecting keylogger, you must delete the value in registry key NT\CurrentVersion\Windows] I cannot play the games for many days and that's worked for me.

I got it to work, though it is laggy as hell.
I would suggest to all of you to don't download this game, at least until some better relese from like Skwidrow, Razor1911 or Reloaded... (don't think there's gonna be any though..)

Okay guys, here is what worked for me.
I tried atmost every shit listed here but for guys getting the "L.A Noire.exe has stopped working". Follow this and it might work.
1. Install L.A Noire Disc1 and Disc2 and after that make sure you L.A Noire folder as lanoire or LANOIRE or w/e you wish.
2. Copy everything in crack folder to the directory where L.A Noire.exe is present (Do not run the patch yet, this is what creating us problems)
3. Reboot your computer and run your windows in Safe mode without internet (To reach safe mode press F8 after rebooting your pc)
4. After rebooting, go to your game directory and make sure your internet is disabled. Run the patch and after you patch, you will see "Social Club v1.0.5.0 Setup". Run it and after you complete click finish and reboot your computer.
5. Disable your internet and disable your firewall and Antivirus program. (In my case it's Nod32 and i disabled it)
6. Run L.A Noire from the Desktop icon and bang bang bang. You got yourself a game.
Create an offline profile and turn back the internet.

When i am starting the game with no internet access then in game it shows a message saying that i have no internet connection and there is only one button and that is Close ( It quits the game when i press it ) There is no where i can create an offline profile? HD 6950 w/ Shader Mod 2GB
I ran Battlefield 3 like a charm here, but this one I never got to run.
First off, the Patch wouldn't open, then I downloaded a pre-unpacked version of it, the game still wouldn't run. Then I downloaded a crack, and I'd get a prompt about me not having a "steam_api.dll", so I copied it from another game. Then I'd get a "Application Load Error 5:0000065432".
Now I gave up!!! I searched all over the internet!!! I hope in the next few days there is a more stable release.

my mistake ...i didnt had my DX updated...
Go to Disc 1 in ISSetupPrerequisites\Microsoft DirectX Redist (June 2010) folder and run DXSETUP.exe
this worked for me...game is runing..with some lag ...now i will try the expert_vision solution ;))

Game works fine, on some systems (including mine) it needs to be installed to a location that does not contain spaces.
Example: C:/Games/LANoire/
instead of C:/blah blah/L.A.Noire/
Others with the DX dll issue - as others have said, update DX - download the FULL DX installer (not just the web installer)

Yeah man, I've tried running it as admin, running it with compatibility mode for XP Sp3. Tried different orders, tried it c:/rockstargames/lanoire; B:/games/lanoire; E:/L.A.Noire
I've unninstalled it and Rockstar social clubs for fresh reinstalls with small differences like 8 times!!!
I just rly rly hope when a new release is out I don't have to download the game itself all over again!!!!

Here is what I did to get the game to run and fix the FRAME PER SECOND.
1. Do the usual install process by mounting disk 1 and then disk 2 with daemon tools (I had my internet unplugged during all of this don't know if it makes a difference or not.
2. Copy everything from inside the crack folder on disk 2 to the directory then click copy and replace when prompted.
3. Run Patch_2382_02392_1.exe inside the directory.
4. Run Social Club v1.0.5.0 Setup.exe which will pop up after running Patch_2382_02392_1.exe
5. Run LANoire.exe to play.
6. If frame rate is bad go back to your directory and click on LANLauncher.exe.
7. Click options and in the command line type -str -npd
8. Click launch game although it shouldn't launch the game it will make a difference when you run LANoire.exe. I didn't mess with any of the other settings but if your graphics card really sucks then play around with it a little and you might get more fps.

PROBLEM: LA NOIRE STARTS & STOPS WITHOUT THROWING AN ERROR
FIX:
Once You have all these LOOONG list of fucking requirements... apply the THETA patch and then copy those 2 DLL files.
I googled a lot and finally figured out that the problem doesn't lie in the THETA release. The problem lies with Rockstar to release this game with compatibility issues!
I bought the original game after I downloaded this rip and the original game gives me the same problem. I still haven't got it to work. FUCK YOU ROCKSTAR! PACKAGE IT BETTER NEXT TIME!
None of the fixes worked for me but probably other will have better luck and post them here.

All you "not working" guys need is this:
L.A. Noire Crack Only-SKIDROW (284 MB) - its not only crack, its crack (5MB) + something you have to dowload when you activating game (as far as I know). Anyway it works with THETA ...

I took your suggestion and downloaded the 284mb Skidrow update+crack.
Now the game starts up but is stuck at the neon LA NOIRE sign board with syncronization arrows at the bottom right.... waited 15-20 mins but no use! Any suggestions? Many ppl have this prob with this issue too...
So from this i know one thing for sure that ROCKSTAR fuc**d up while releasing their retail disks.... the steam version at least starts up, retail doesnt start at all!!!

I finally got LA NOIRE to work.
For people having issues running the game, where the game launches and crashes without giving an error... This is how I got my THETA copy to work.
Clean installed Visual C++ 2008, Directx, .Net Framework 3.5 SP1
Turn off Anti Virus
Disable Internet Connection
Installed game to the default location & default naming (C:\\Program Files\Rockstar Games\L.A. Noire)
Installed SKIDROW's update patch
Used SKIDROW's crack
There are mixed responses to SKIDROW's patch & crack. Might work for some, might not for the others.
As for me, I tried unpacked THETA patch & the patch that comes along with the release but it just failed to run.
LA Noire is a great game... lovely facial animations! Hope Rockstar packages their games better in the future.

Ah... I'm glad my solution worked for 2 ppl. Those jackasses at Rockstar wanted me to repair windows, scan system integrity... bla bla bla... which I did but still the game still didn't work.
This is the first time I've had to buy a retail copy and then had to crack it to make it work! This is the last time I buy a Rockstar product..
Piracy... here I come!!

I tried everything, but I still have a a patch problem. I can start it just fine, and after I click update, it tries to update but a few seconds after it I get this message:
Preparing launcher...
Patching LANLauncher.exe
Error Patching: Error binary patching file
After that I can just cancel the update. The same happens in Windows Safe mode, so it's not like the internet connection has anything to do with it.
Help would be appreciated.
