This film depicts final events of both journalistic career and life of Veronica Guerin, the first assassinated journalist in Ireland ever, whose death changed Ireland for good and made her a folk heroine. After successful article campaigns published in Sunday Independent which exposed other troubled segments of Dublin\'s social life, she decided to pursue on investigation of one particularly vicious and dangerous issue - drug-related organized crime. Protected only by her professional reputation, she enters Irish drug underworld and starts to ask too many questions. Spiral of violence then begins, with every circle more vicious than previous, and soon we realize there is but one outcome to her struggle for the truth...
