Monsoon Wedding (2001) Monsoon Wedding is a 2001 film directed by Mira Nair and written by Sabrina Dhawan, which depicts romantic entanglements during a traditional Punjabi wedding in Delhi. Writer Sabrina Dhawan wrote the first draft of the screenplay in a week while she was at Columbia University's MFA film program. Monsoon Wedding earned over $20 million at the box office. Although it is set entirely in New Delhi, the film was an international co-production between companies in India, the United States, Italy, France, and Germany. The film won the Golden Lion award and received a Golden Globe Award nomination. Two families from different cultures come together for an arranged marriage in new delhi during the monsoon season. Between a stressed-out father a bride with a burning passion for someone else and a wedding planner with her own agenda forget the rain itll be a miracle if the wedding happens. It's a classic film, it was shown on International Film Festival, that's where I saw it way back in 2001. But I used to upload Indian Movies while, back but then I stopped, as they make it so poorly nowadays. But no I am not an Indian if that's what you were curious. My GF is :)

This is a good post, but the source is a bit disappointing. The characters switch languages frequently and when they are speaking English, the subs disappear. The problem is that their English is highly accented and hard to follow, at least for this American WASP :-) so it left me lost and having a hard time following it.
I will look for a post with complete English subs.
