I just checked this and it is perfectly ok. Topo GB2 does require an unlock key and is routable.
Licensing restrictions, I believe from the Ordinance Survey people, mean that you can't print maps and while all the detail is available, it's in a smaller-than-normal window. I've never seen that on any other maps before.
In addition to the expected topographical data, The GB v2 topo maps have shaded relief, paths and tracks, and maybe a few extra POI's.
The main difference between this 1.44GB set of topo maps and the 500MB set of topo maps offered here: http://thepiratebay.se/torrent/3850183/ ...Is that these have the track-n-trail info. Frankly, that's probably what you were looking for in the first place. The Topo data from the maps in the aforementioned torrent are not *exactly* similar to the topo maps offered here by webgandalf... but it is pretty close.
Last note: I do believe that "real" Ordinance Survey maps offer a vast amount of detail, most of which is not available in these maps (or this torrent would probably be considerably bigger). However, since these are obviously going to be used on your GPS it is probably not critical to have every bit of detail because your position on the maps will be known.

It was in a .txt file I think with this or another one.
Run UnlockWizard, make sure it is in the same folder as your garmin app (like training centre).
This might be from OS data, but it is NOTHING like OS maps, they are POOR and I feel sad for anyone that paid.
You have a limited view, and that view is tiny, and it is always smaller than the zoom you are using.
Footpaths are marked for me as small black or green lines, so hard to tell that they are actually footpaths/rights of way etc.
Waste of my time (so is Training Centre btw everyone, its POOR). Only reason I use it is to save my maps in their TCX(xml) format to retain the heart/cadence. I then use gpsbabel to convert to GPX when needed, and hopefully in the future there will be a nice ratified GPX HR & CD extentions to convert to.
