Description:
Call it The Darkside of the Rainbow or whatever, but this DVD is my favorite version. The higher quality video and audio rips combined with interesting dvd menus make this a lot better than the other versions around. You can watch the full movie and toggle between 3 audio tracks: the original Wizard of Oz audio, the Dark Side of the Moon, or both. It also has a scene selection, so you can jump to a specific chapter if you want.

Another great pink Floyd SYNC with "THE CUBE" here:http://thepiratebay.se/tor/4221414/The_Cube__Inside_of_a_Dark_Dark_Dream._OST_by_Pink_Floyd___

Thank you!Vanter80 (2008-08-18)
The Dark Side of the Moon audio doesn't repeat. Since the wizard of oz is about 2.5 times longer than the album, only the first part of the movie has the floyd audio. The rest of the movie is just the wizard of oz.playamonkey (2008-09-24)
The music doesn't repeat and stops about 43 minutes in. It's sad, 'cause so much work went into the menus, and the end product is pretty much useless.marmaladeskies (2008-09-28)
It seems that everyone has their own particular preferences of how these two classics should be synchronized. This DVD was produced the way i personally prefer it. I wanted to create a version that utilized the quality of a DVD, and I did not want to manipulate the original video or audio sources to artificially enhance the synchronization. I chose to play the Dark Side of the Moon only once, because I find the synchronization significantly less intriguing the second time around, and i did not want it to take away from the novelty of the original experience. Also, playing the Dark Side of the Moon twice would have led to further compression of the source files.Stucifer (2010-10-22)
This is a great version EXCEPT - why does it have the original sound track at the beginning when you choose the option to play only the dark side of the moon sound track?! It is very well done however I cannot use this as the piano and light and fluffy music at the beginning destroys the mood that the heavy pink floyd sound track creates. Please remove that intro original sound track if you can. The way the two tracks meld into each other as it changes from original score to pink floyd just doesn't do it. It is like a pepperoni pizza with peanut butter. It is an auditory contradiction.Sorry, don't mean to sound like an ingrate. I do think what you have created is fantastic but I just can't use it due to its buzzkillness.

Fantastic job.I would have liked to hear the album repeat too, simply because after listening to such great music, hearing the actors voices is a bit of a come down.
But more importantly, you ended it too soon!!!
Let me explain: At the end of DSOTM, the song Eclipse actually carries on for a few more seconds with the sound of a heart beat and some words about the whole moon being dark.
You cut that out and IMO it is VERY significant because the sound of the heart beat correlates to Dorothy tapping on the tin mans chest! VERY IMPORTANT.
If anyone every had a doubt, that final scene would have closed the deal.
Other than that, excellent job. Thank you.

@MediaRevolution: Read the comments before you download, and then you don't have to post a comment that repeats what three comments before your post already clarify. This was originally designed for a DL disc, but at the time (5 years ago) i didn't have a DL burner. Then someone stole the project files along w/ my computer and ext. hd, leaving me only with this dvd, which i post here for you to complain about.@Stucifer: 'Why?'– you ask? Cause... that's the way i like it. I have never heard anyone mention that before, so it sounds like a slightly exaggerated personal tick. If I still had the project files for this, i wouldn't change that. I don't think there are too many people in this world that would allow that to stop them from enjoying this.
@ajdedo: Honestly if i could, i would make another version of this that repeated the music just for those that do prefer it. HOWEVER, i did not end the music prematurely. In fact, just as the movie started by weaving the music into the movie, at the end, the movie weaves back into the music. YOU CAN HEAR THE HEART BEATS– maybe you just need to turn up your volume. They weren't mixed as loud as the rest of the recording, so you may not hear them at low volumes especially if your system lacks sufficient low end.
