When it asks for serial key, just leave it blank and click "Next". Use the crack inside the ISO.
This game lags on my computer... I'm running a q6600 core2quad, radeon HD 4850, and 6gb RAM. how sad.. at least COD4 & Lost Planet don't lag this badly.. The graphics aren't even that great.. COD4 & Lost Planet has better graphics imo.

Well i finally downloaded this. I mounted the .rar file and installed the game as if i actually had the disc. I skipped the part where it asked for a serial number. Then i went to the link provided at the top of this thread here I then downloaded the "crack only" option. i updated with the crack update. then i copied everything in the crack except the update and put it in the bin folder of the game and presto. (to get to the game bin folder in windows right click the desktop icon and click properties the go to find target.) Easy once you know how.

1. Unrar (optional, use daemon tools to mount the iso without unraring, if you have crashes or problems unrar it with winrar)
2. Burn or mount the image (mount with daemon)
3. Install the game
4. Update your game to version 1.5.03 by running LOCATED IN THE CRACK DIRECTORY OF THE DISC
(the crack is supplied with this torrent. Go to start button / my computer and right click on your daemon virtual drive and select explore. Go to the crack directory and run the file too update the game.)

To all those having issues, there are a few things you must do to get it to work.
First of all, after installing the game, updating it, and cracking it, your first inclination is to launch the game. This will not work.
You'll get an error saying fsgame.ltx has crashed, or something along those lines.
This is because the game cannot be launched from the \bin folder and must be launched from the main directory. This is very easy to get around.
Create a text file. In this text file, write the following:
start bin\xrengine
Name the file whatever you want, but make sure to change its extension to .cmd.
I named mine to "Start.cmd"
Make sure to place this in the main installation directory. On my computer, this is C:\Program Files (x86)\Deep Silver\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Clear Sky.
If you don't want to open the game from within this directory every time, you can create another .cmd file to launch it from the desktop. Once again, call it what you like but it should contain the following:
cd C:\Program Files (x86)\Deep Silver\S.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Clear Sky
start START.cmd
exit
Obviously, you'll need to change the location and file names as you have edited them.
Hope you enjoy the game, it's working perfectly for me on Windows 7 Profession 64-bit. But seriously... this game is tough to run. I have to turn the details down to High and turn AA down a bit to get it to run smoothly and I have an i7 at 4.3GHz on water as well as two 4890's overclocked to 1000/1200. Even with all of this at times I drop down to 35fps. On Maximum I dropped to 15fps sometimes as well.

oky this is how i instaled it on vista 64bit ..
this is how i did step by step:
1. downloaded the whole torrent.
2. ran the iso whit deamon tools and instaled the game. ( i yust pressed next when it asked for username and keygen)

Game isn't worth playing unless you install patches. There are so many bugs and irritating crashes it will eat away all the fun of playing.
Before playing:
Find retail patches on google. Patch it up to version 1.5.09.
First you need to install patch 1.5.03 which is already included in this torrent. After that, install patch 1.5.04, 1.5.05, 1.5.06, 1.5.07, 1.5.08, 1.5.09 (retail international or english version).

damn, i can't get it to work.. i've tried 3 different torrents, 2 different cracks with 1.5.10 version and 1 crack with 1.5.07..
and everytime it does the same thing: i can get to menu and options, but when i try to start a new game, i choose the difficulty, then it loads the game elements etc and then it just disappears and shows me windows desktop..
what could it be?

If you're getting an error about a missing file just move everything from the bin folder directly to the main folder. and ignore the asshole comments from the trolls living in their parents basements.

Works just fine. Using Windows 8, 64-bit.
I highly recommend using the 1.5.10 patch. (Btw that's the retail version for this torrent.)
If you get the .10 patch you'll need another crack. 1.5.09 or 1.5.10 crack will work.
I remember when i bought this game in 2008 at it's release. My computer was not qualified for the job. I met the minimum requirements but still it crashed frequently. Wasn't able to play it for real until i got a new graphic card.
Anyway good torrent. Don't get the negative feedback. Except people... well children more likely, generally don't understand how to install shit. There is nothing wrong with this. (but beware outdated patch and crack)

Also,for those having crashes while playing I found out that setting the game to 'Windowed Mode' helps.I played for close to two hours with no crash so this might be working.

1. Mount image and install. When it asks for a cd key etc, just press next.
2. Run the update in the crack folder of the image.
3. Copy everything from $:Program Files (x86)Deep SilverS.T.A.L.K.E.R. - Clear Skybin folder in the directory you just installed the game to the main Clear Sky directory. Say yes if it asks you to overwrite anything.
4. Go back to the crack folder in the image and copy everything in it to main directory again.
Game should work. TYou may also need to right click on the main game .exe and tell it to run as an admin.

so this is what works for me:
Download torrent, mount and install
Get update 1.5.10 on and just run it and let it update
then download this crack for update 1.5.10
and then paste all three files from the crack into the bin folder, replacing the existing ones (xrgame.dll, xrCPU_Pipe.dll, xrEngine.exe)
Then copy all the files from the bin folder and put them in the main directory, and try running xrengine.exe
