Description:

DJ drunk were a duo based in B.C., Canada back in 2000. Their drug-laced sounds and innovative recording methods, state of the art effects interweaved with dizzying lyrical references to the unimaginable by most, remains one of the strangest and hypnotic CD's in my large collection. A bit of warning though, like alot of masterpieces out there it takes more than a listen or two. In fact most people tend to be put-off at first. Trust me, it grows on you and the tunes stick in your head. There was a guy in 2002 who heard it, apparently, and listened to it over 18 times in a row, according to sources he shot himself in the leg on purpose just to see what kind of dance moves he could preform for his drinking buddies that night to their music. Other than that not much else is known about the band. Last thing that I read in a magazine was they were so hard up for money by 2001 they wrote each other cheques to ATM deposit for beer money. When both cheques bounced on each other, each of the two members went into hiding from the other. They have not reunited since.

Thanks, great upload. It's kinda like Ween, but more raw.
I remember hearing this CD years ago but could never find it. Yeah though it's true it takes a few listens. I used to live in B.C., there's alot of legends about that CD, but the one I remember is that guy who went all nuts after listening to it in his car and setting fire to his car after. He blamed the band for 'subliminal messages'. Anyone hear of that?
