Building upon its patented predecessor and namesake, TruSurround XT not only solves the problem of playing 5.1 or 6.1 multichannel content over two speakers or headphones, but also utilizes proprietary algorithms from SRS Labs - Dialog Clarity and TruBass - to provide listeners with a truly immersive audio experience. TruSurround XT accepts input from up to a 7 channel (6.1) audio source and processing a 2 channel output. When receiving multichannel content, TruSurround XT virtualizes the channels, creating "phantom" speakers that appear to extend all around the listener, producing an amazing surround sound effect. When receiving mono or stereo content, TruSurround XT includes the functionality of SRS WOW to present an expansive three dimensional sound field. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Changelog build 2701 (2011-03-07): Issues resolved: - CyberLink PowerDVD cannot play back the MACROSS F MOVIE Blu-ray Disc title. - CyberLink PowerDVD cannot play back disc two of the Beauty and the Beast Blu-ray Disc title. - CyberLink PowerDVD cannot enable hardware acceleration during the playback of videos with .WTS file extension. - CyberLink PowerDVD cannot navigate DVD content that has been ripped. - CyberLink PowerDVD cannot jump to different moments of a video by clicking along the navigational slider, when playing a file with the .M2TS file extension. - Users cannot activate the Ultra version of CyberLink PowerDVD if the standard version was previously installed. - Revision made to the drive authentication fails warning message encountered during playback. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Install: Just run Setup.exe and you are done, it's registered and activated. Don't disable them if you're planning to use a remote to control PowerDVD! I've fixed the Black Skin and the tweak batch files, they now work in 64-bit versions of Windows. Cheers, ADHDerby

This one just as previous versions (I've tried 1516 & 2429) is broken. When using the Cinema mode (i.e. from inside Windows Media Center) the SPDIF digital sound output is muted. Playing the same disc in the standalone player works just fine and using analog output in Cinema mode works as well.
There was a major thread about these issues over at CyberLink's forum but the complaints died out when they figured out that everybody with the issue were using a pirated version.
ADHDerby, Are these newer releases "new from scratch" or are they just patched versions of an original crack which will make the bug perpetual?
(Of course this could've been fixed since the 2429 version I had installed previously and the bug just remained because of a previous installation. - Can anybody corroborate?)

 ADHDerby (2011-03-11)

@ marcellocord: I didn't experience this before but I've got the same issue now :/
I'm also using Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit (Service Pack 1)
@ XxFukenGruvenxX: I've been busy (got a third kid recently) ;)
@ Tiny Turtle: I've fixed this a few builds ago (one of the license files was outdated).
The SPDIF output in Cinema Mode works fine here. You can download and install the trial version to check if it has the same problem.

That's weird - but great news! Any idea on how to clean the registry (which I assume is what's required). Maybe there's some sort of cleanup tool (I vaguely recall seeing a link to somtething like that although I might be confusing different programs here.

 ADHDerby (2011-03-11)

You can try this: First uninstall PowerDVD, download and run CLCleaner-PowerDVD10.0.exe
http://forum.cyberlink.com/forum/posts/downloadAttach/3452.page
(rename .e__ to .exe)
Reboot and install PowerDVD with Administrator rights.

+ If you have a RealTek Audio chipset, then make sure that you have installed the latest drivers.

 ADHDerby (2011-03-13)

They changed the skin again :/
If you use old skins, the tabs won't hide in full screen mode.

marcellocord (2011-03-16)

the way i fixed this problem was installing v10.0.1705.51 and updating from the official site to 10.0.2701.51 and copying the PowerDVD.sim from this torrent to the PowerDVD folder

Galendo (2011-04-01)

Question, when an update to powerdvd is released, do can you update it like the official versions or do we need to come back here to you :)?

 ADHDerby (2011-04-03)

You can safely update it,.. just make a backup of PowerDVD.sim and copy it back after the update.

Tiny Turtle (2011-04-18)

Sorry for not getting back earlier, but I just wanted to say that using that CLCleaner fixed my problem.
Thanks!
