The Nahj al Balagha ("Peak of Eloquence") is the most famous collection of speeches (sermons) and letters attributed to Ali ibn Abi Talib, cousin & son-in-law of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) , fourth Righteous Caliph of Islam and the first of the Imams of Shia Muslims. It was collected by ash-Sharif ar-Radi (359-406 AH /970-1015 AD) or known in Persian as Seyyed Razi in the 10th century.It is a collections of approximately 241 sermons, 79 letters, and 489 sayings .
