after running this for a while do you get a not registered comment. i have downloaded 4 or 5 nero 8 followed set up instructions and had that comment on every one.i am about to give up

To stop 'patent activation failed'
pop up after install Delete "NeroPatentActivation" in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Nero\Shared\NL3
Then delete 'NeroPatentActivation' application file.

I deleted the proper file to stop the auto activation and it worked.....for awhile. Now I'm getting a pop-up that says, "Third Party Patent Activation." When I hit 'download' I get a fatal error message saying that the file is missing and to reinstall Nero. Is there any way I can get around this?

Works great, however it does 'call home' to verify itself after a while. Need a tight firewall to keep this one alive - otherwise it claims to be pirated and shuts down - thanks uploader ~
