• Hal Sparks joins us in the Los Angeles Bureau at 9:05am ET / 6:05am PT for another edition of “Humpdays With Hal” • Karl Frisch, columnist and contributor to Media Matters for America, calls in at 10:05am ET / 7:05am PT to co-host Right Wing World • David Bender, co-host of Ring of Fire Radio, joins us in the Los Angeles Bureau at 11:05am ET / 8:05am PT to review the results of yesterday’s elections • Republicans drew on the support of independents and the energy of tea party activists to fashion a resounding victory in the House in midterm elections, increased their strength in the Senate and quickly served notice they intend to challenge President Barack Obama with a conservative approach to the economy. • President Barack Obama called Republican leaders early Wednesday to congratulate them on their midterm election victories and to promise to try to find “common ground” with them after a bruising campaign season. • GOP-ers appeared to have regained the majority of U.S. governorships Tuesday night, capturing 10 in states where the previous executives were Democrats. But Dems scored two takeaways, including in California, where Jerry Brown defeated Republican Meg Whitman for the governorship now held by Republican Arnold Schwarzenegger.
