Trillian Astra Build 71

Description:

Cerulean Studios Blog: "Build 71 is a minor bugfix build. Additionally, we?ve updated the ?Add Contact? panel in the Cordonata skin (Cobalt to follow) to include a built-in group chooser and, when supported, the ability to specify a ?Reason? when adding a contact. Certain networks (Astra, ICQ, Yahoo) support this. The rest of the week was spent working on infrastructure for video calls both client-side and server-side; work will continue on this front and the results are looking very nice so far! We?ll update with more information as soon as we?re able to. Enjoy the build."

Note: The patcher from my Build 70 torrent will work on Build 71 aswell. So if you have the patch you don't have to dowload this.

I installed build 70 and since then I did lots of updates to username and groups in my contat list. All these changes dissapeared when I updated to build 71 using astra update that appeared today. I did not find any ini file that do contain these settings either so I do not know which file to recover. Anyone knows?

sunfish1 (2008-02-03)

updates of buddy lists never worked before. to make changes, you either have to manually edit buddies.xml or make the changes in Trillian 3 pro and then copy buddies.xml over to astra.
hey homer:
chat view is still not saved, what gives? i can't find any ini file entry for that either.

fischenbacher (2008-02-03)

Sunfish1: But I can't find any buddies.xml in either application data nor program files. I don't really care about old changes but now I would like to keep my new changes to next update. The changes I make must be saved somewhere but I cannot find where. (I'm using vista if that changes anything..)

HomerSp (2008-02-03)

Usernames and such in the buddy list has never been saved for me, it always just show the buddy email whenever I close-open the app.
Chat view saves for me, I guess somehow your changes aren't saved.

fischenbacher (2008-02-03)

HomerSP: Oh. thats correct. I never turn of my computer so I guess I never turned of trillian either until I had to when updating. Guess I will have to wait for final release to be able to clean up my buddy list then. Thanks.

This very problem pretty much plagues all current releases of trillian astra if you want to start fresh again. Hopefully when the final version gets released, somebody can crack trillian astra to store settings, buddies, etc locally. Otherwise it'll require server authentication.

I'm having the same problems with the contact list updating. None of the new contacts even show up in the .xml file. So, yea...anyways. When is Build 72 gonna be on PB?
