There are so many different releases, it's silly. Go to C:\Documents\Electronic Arts\Downloads
If the folder exists, you can add them in.

Alright, I know this is noobish but screw it.
I'm using the Mac version. When I go to install these it comes up with a Game Initialization Failure (0x0175d824). Any ideas on what to do? Thanks guys.

I will say that the launcher was kind of screwy about it when you press select all and then install it installed about 80% of the .pack files and skipped over some others ?!!?
but you go back in rehighlight ONLY the ones it skipped and install and it worked I just had to make like 3 passes thru the install section manually checking the stuff it skipped
I've checked 'In Game' and it's all there Thank you sir for a quality update to a Money Hungry micro transactioning glutton company's Game.

Please help...I downloaded the torrent, extracted it into a folder. When I am looking at the files I extracted, there isnt any game launcher. Do I need to download the demo or anything of there website?

Open up The Sims 3 from your desktop. That is the game launcher. The game laucher is not in this torrent, this is an expansion, not the whole game.

C:\Documents and Settings\Local Disc\My Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Downloads
Or your My Documets folder, than Electronic Arts - Sims 3...
It is default for games downloads. Works for me.

Hi, I have a cracked version of the SIMS, and when I downloaded the torrent, it was only 14.1kb large. I put it on my desktop, then copied it to the correct downloads file. Opened up the launcher, but the Install button is grayed out. Help, I don't know what to do next????

You just downloaded to torrent file I'm guessing. You're going to need a program such as utorrent to actually start downloading the torrent.

Alright, in iHugh's instructions, I found that the file destination may not necessarily be called "C:DocumentsElectrionic ArtsDownloads"
I found mine under a search for The Sims 3 (vista... yeah)
And it was:
Documents:Electronic Arts:The Sims 3:Downloads
And all the items work perfectly in-game. So basically, I'm guessing, if you can find a folder that has your downloads in it, you can use these.

But I have the latest Razor release, and all that patch does is give you the changed versions so you can update the RELOADED version.
Can't I just create a new folder and name it downloads?

Fantastic! Downloaded in less than 10 minutes, all installed fine. This is how I did it (WinXP):
1) Extract all files to "My Documents > Electronic Arts > The Sims 3 > Downloads".
2) Open the Sims 3 Launcher.
3) Click on 'Downloads'.
4) Click on 'Select All'.
5) Click 'Install'.
And you're done!

Im also having the same problem as rkefreddyk My game is updated version 1.8 (the last update) and the stuff from the torrent doesn't get install in the game. I follow the steps and during the installation I can see that all the object are installed successfully but when I look at the game launcher neither in the download tab neither in the install tab I can see those objects. When I play those object aren?t present.
Anyone has an idea why this happening? There is a way to go around this problem?

I am also having the same problem as rkefreddyk and pringlcj ..
Steps I took:
Extracted to Desktop. Moved all files to downloads folder. (Not mods/packages, the actual "Downloads" folder.) Opened launcher and installed all files using "Select all". Success! Entered game. Re-opened launcher from in-game after a few attempts at using Store Content. None of Store Content is installed.
