OK - I am using a pretty standard codec pack and attempted to play it with mplayer, VLC player, Totem player and aviplayer.
Some wouldn't even start, the others produced identical results.
So, exactly WHAT codec/player combination do you recommend?

if your having trouble with codecs try the k-lite codec pack, just google for it
