between Windows XP Professional Student Edition SP3 and the normal windows XP?
And how come the serial CD key is XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX?

The the comment ^^ Student ver is like Pro retail. You have to activate, validate but you can install on multiple PCs if having a valid key. If you already have a valid student XP key, you can use it with this. I believe this is just an XP w/ SP2 from MS for students then the Eth0 group slipstreamed SP3 on it.
