Director Jingle Ma (Fly Me to Polaris) tackles one of the classics with his retelling of this tragic love story, which also served as the basis for the 1963 Shaw Brother's classic The Love Eterne and Tsui Hark's 1994 drama The Lovers. This new version is a clever alternate take on the story of ill-fated lovers Leung Shan Pak and Cheuk Ying Toi, and is given a martial arts spin thanks to the masterful fight choreography of Ching Siu Tung (Hero, Curse of The Golden Flower). Wu Chun of Taiwan boy band Fahrenheit and Charlene Choi of Hong Kong's Twins play the two young lovers, with a host of talent from China, Hong Kong and Taiwan joining them.
