I would normally be infuriated enough by .m4a to just ignore this, thus depriving myself of something I want in general. I guess some The Gadjits is better than none though... Ty

.m4a=.aac=easily converted back to mp3 (ii'm guessing that's what you wanted) in itunes. sorry. it's just easier to copy them out of my itunes in the format they're in instead of translating them back into mp3s. .aac has better compression, and when you're up to 35,000 songs (as i am), it starts to eat memory like a bitch.

so .aac is useful to save as much space as i can.
