Looks like this is put out there to catch us. I downloaded this, entered the serial, and I got a screen saying I am using a pirateversion, and they sniffed my email and ip address and they say they will prosecute me and it jumps me to their order page to make up withing 24hrs or.... get prosecuted?? Fuck!

You have a pretty crappy firewall if random programs can send information without your approval.... You should get a new one or at least unplug your net. I think their message is just a scam though as I didn't see it actually sending any information. It just opens up a browser window telling you that you need to buy their stuff, blah blah. They could get your ip from the website though I guess...

I think it may be becoz as it jumps to the order page the ip address is noted on their systems...Really don't messup by downloading this.......It fucks ur life..............

That page proves what? That you somehow managed to land on that page, maybe by clicking a link in some forums? They can't actually prove anything without impounding your computer and looking to see if you have it installed....

Had to register as you people are worrying over absolutely nothing about getting prosecuted, but IBP have succeeded in their objective to worry you and I bet some people have paid the ridiculous fee for the package because of this, which in my opinion isn't worth anyway near what they charge for it. Personal home pirates are very unlikely to be prosecuted as there is too many of them. In the UK, the government is trying to introduce a 3 strikes and your out system on music and film pirate downloads to ultimately ban people from their ISP in an attempt to control the problem. The first 2 strikes are just warnings, but this isn't law yet. If it becomes law, I'd expect the same to come into effect with software too not long after. ISPs would be forced to monitor customers activity. It shows that they have given up trying to prosecute individual people for the offence. Millions of personal people pirate, most people have 1 or more illegal pieces of software on their home PC and it's very hard to police. They therefore occasionally pick out a small few people, but you'd have to be as unlucky as winning the lottery and losing your ticket to be one of them. If you make money selling pirates, then it's a different matter or if you are a large business that pirates you are more likely to be prosecuted. If IBP have your IP address then it's on a long long list. What exactly are they going to do with them as I no authorities would have to time or resources to investigate something as minor as this and it can't be proven either as anyone could go to the link on-line. Do you think the police are going to visit everyone's house with a court warrant to seize everyone PC? Well, it's not going to happen as the police have more serious cases on their hands like drugs and gun crime. Just de-install the software and forget about it - nothing will happen - honestly.
I think the makers of IBP should consider charging a reasonable price for their software for a home user licence and then maybe more people would be able to afford it. They should then provide an additional on-line service that can only be accessed when one has a valid membership that can't be generated from a keygen so more people are tempted.

They probably uploaded it themselves and put a code into it which took you to a website with that bullshit message just to get you guys to buy it, they even have your ip and isp but they have just put all of that in a website which makes it look like they are onto you to scare you into buying it. I hope no1 falls for this
