Dutch born, Huismans takes his name from his Hague home district code '2562' but takes his musical influence from further afield ¹ Detroit, Kingston, Croydon, Berlin. Being versed in a wide amount of music, Huismans is philosophical when questioned on how he came across his distinctive, earth-shattering style: "I didn't want to jump someone else's train, but I figured if I bring my own musical background and preferences into play, I would come up with different music anyway. That's what I usually do really; absorb and process elements from all kinds of music I love and fuse them into something I feel comfortable calling my own." If 2007 was a year for Burial and Pinch, then summer 2008 surely has 2562 written all over it. 'Aerial' is the fourth CD release on a label that has yet to put a foot wrong, from an artist set to realize his potential with this brilliant album surely destined for great things.
