Be advised that this book, "How to Write Clearly", by Edwin A. Abbott (headmaster of the City of London School), was first published in 1883.
That doesn't mean it might not contain useful tips - glancing through it, I think it does, and I'm keeping it because I enjoy collecting books on writing - but some of you might prefer something more recent and a tad less dry.
