Thanks very much for this Ekolb! I had it on tape but couldn't find it.
*Just a note that this aired in 2005. Much of it is very relevant. Ebay, of course, is also in the midst of the recession. Last I heard they've laid off loads of employess and traffic is down about 30%.

First off: Audio Quality=10, Video Quality=10.
Unfortunately since it doesn't cover the chaos that was caused by Donahoe it doesn't cover the modern ebay at all. Imagine all the bad things they mention here and multiply that by a thousand.
Ebay doing poorly in a recession? Only since Donahoe took over. Amazon stock over $70 a share, ebay stock lucky to be at $17 a share.
There are so many bad things to say about ebay that it wouldn't be possible to list them all anywhere. Suffice it to say that if you sell on ebay you should expect to have to pay for shipping the item to your buyer and expect to pay them for stealing your item and expect a negative feedback from them for those efforts. If you buy on ebay then expect to pay $50 to ship a toothpick and expect to actually get a toothbrush. Probably a chinese toothbrush since chinese crap is all that ebay sells these days.
Traffic down at ebay? Traffic at ebay is down so far that I'm not even sure it ranks as a top ten site anymore. Further, other statistics for ebay are impossible to calculate as it has millions of fake listings and fake buyers that they use to make their shareholders think they have more business and more users than they really do.
Ebay only exists because of their monopoly and because idiots like Jay Leno insist on giving them free press.
The only good thing that could come out of ebay now is a notice saying they're closing up shop.
