With this install + crack there is no need for an activation key or serial.
You can play on the LAN with up to 16 friends. If you want to play over the internet just use Hamachi so that all the players look like they are on the same Lan.
This game is pretty fun. Lots of loot, lots of quests and the spell / combat effects are pretty cool. You get a real sense that your charactor is powerful and with all the different combo's you can do and queue up spells it's pretty fun.

So. I installed this one and played for 5 min. Quit playing and later I tried to launch it again. This is when things went boring. I got a pop-up saying that I needed to update. I cant use that update cause it will update to 2.4 and there's no crack for that version yet. So I did what xMystic said and downloaded those two patches. Though I couldn't patch since I had already cracked it. The patches couldn't find my game. So I uninstalled it, sat through an hour+ of installing and patching and finally I applied the crack xMystic mentioned. Now I finally going to be able to play right? Hell no. When I fire up the game, screen goes black for a few moments then I get "Game server has stopped working" followed by "Game client has stopped working" and the game shuts down. So I tried a couple of things I found on the web, I look all over but nope, the game wont start. It wont even take me to the black screen to atleast give me some hope. I double-click the icon and the "Game client has stopped working" message pops up. Nothing else happens. My buddy tells me on vent he installed it and it runs with no problem. So I uninstalled it again, sat through the 1 hour+ process of installing/patching/cracking again (As instructed by xMystic) and when Im finally done.. Black screen, "Client has stopped working" and me getting annoyed. I still have a few things to try out and I'll let you know if I get it working. My computer is beyond what's needed to run the game, I already played it with patch 2.12. If anyone knows what's wrong here and how I can fix it, please let me know.

Oh I forgot to say, One kinda weird thing about uninstalling. In the Add remove programs list it says that the total size of Sacred 2 is only 133MB. I have been able to uninstall the elite graphics portion of the game, And if the info is right in the remove list it looks like MOST of the game HAS uninstalled?
I dunno, I have never gotten through the whole uninstall proccess without having to cancel it after the error message. But is it possible it did actually uninstall what it could?

This is the UK version. You can tell by taking a look at the patches supplied on the images. Up to v2.12 is located on DVD2 of this torrent download. The expansion download has the patches you need after v2.12 to install the expansion. If you want past v2.4 you'll need to download them elsewhere.

The game works, so its worth downloading, though, it does not work if u install it on a different drive than, your OS is installed, so if you got your OS installed on C: u are able to install it and patch it if u install it on that drive, but, if you install it on D: (for example) and the OS is installed on C:, u are able to install it but NOT, i repeat, NOT able to patch it through.

For those who cant get the install going make sure you are running it as admin, in win xp comp. mode, also for patching errors, you need to install it on the same drive as your os.
For those who managed to install and cant see any text, its because some parts of game cant be found on the 1st installation disc/iso, aka they dont get installed. All you need to do is open the original disc1 in some .iso editor, and add the missing files from the disc 2 iso to the proper folders on disc 1, save the iso and mount it. The installation should go fine, patch it from the content you get on the iso's and copy the crack afterwards, hope this helps.

1 note though:
If the updates crash, make sure to be running is administrator. (right click -> Run as administrator).
If that doesnt work, make sure that for the entire program file of Sacred 2 the "READ ONLY" box IS NOT THICKED, then run the updates as administrator again.
When I ran the updates as administrator, everything went smoothly.
The game is great (yeah it's big and it takes long to install/update but afterwards, if u take the time to read everything that the questgivers say, for example, it gets really funny).

If have trouble running updates, make sure to rightclick your deep silver folder and give all rights to your current user. Take of "write protected" (or else update can't replace files with newer...) and make sure you can see all files. If you have trouble with game "auto update" just remove 2 updater files to custom made back up folder then game don't ask for update anymore, unless you move files back... If you get black screen when loading your char, update graphic card, make short cut to "sacred 2" start file and add -skipopenal (remember space after "). Then short cut should look something like "C:\Program Files (x86)\Deep Silver\Sacred 2 - Fallen Angel\system\sacred2.exe" -skipopenal

To get better performance, try to maintain a 4 to 1 ratio between Download and Upload speed. Also, set one file to High priority, and when that reaches 100%, set the next one to High priority. Rinse and repeat until you get it all. (This is for uTorrent users; not sure about other clients.)

ty to the ul but diablo 3 is way better then this stupid game btw dont patch it higher then 2.34 patch 2.34 has a problem and if you for 2.40 the gsame will have problems so my opinion stay with 2.12

I stuck in problem when after console with blue logo and orange letters game shows black screen with game cursor and don't lets go further.
I tried almost all: XP SP2 compatibility mode with admin rights, launched "sacred2.exe -nocpubinding -skipopenal", rename LaptopGamingXP.dll and LaptopGamingVista.dll to LaptopGamingXP.dll.BACKUP and LaptopGamingVista.dll.BACKUP, installed different drivers for graphics and sound cards, even patched sacred2.exe to access 4GB of virtual memory. Nothing helped.
But when I sight s2gs.exe in Task Manager, the solution became clear:
ALL I NEED, IS LET SACRED2.EXE ACCESS INTERNET!
I use Comodo Firewall and usually block all pirated software from Internet access. OK, you can write rule for your firewall for only localhost access, but I'm lazy. ))
Also, for those, who use Windows Firewall, game runs without problem because Windows Firewall blocks only incoming connections by default.
