ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ SILENT CIVILIAN has finally come of age in my eyes, stepping ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ out from behind the shadow of my other band Spineshank. I believe we ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ are making a record that will retain what is the main essence ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ of SC, but maturing greatly pushing forward. Having another ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ guitar player contribute more to this record as opposed to ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ the last, in which I wrote 90% of the music, is a plus. This ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ record is also much more violent than the last and will be ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ less produced in the sense that I am really trying to capture ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ the elements of a ‘live’ thrash metal band on tape. There is ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ not much room to breathe with this one, and I want to ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ sonically beat the shit out of the listener without losing ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ their interest. Dynamically, it will be a roller coaster of ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ beatings and abuse! Don't get me wrong, we will still have ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ very melodic moments as well, because melody has always been ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ a strong part of metal. I am going with a lot of very ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ traditional thrash metal riffs, because I don't really listen ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ to very many newer bands out of fear that I will be ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ influenced into sounding like the band of the week. I would ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ rather be influenced by the bands that pioneered this genre ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ of music (Testament, Exodus, Kreator, Death Angel (my ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ favorite), Forbidden, etc) I promise that this new SILENT ÞÛÝÞ²Ý Þ²ÝÞÛÝ CIVILAN album is going to rip your fucking face off.
