How do you keep the profiles intact every time? It works perfectly but the profiles are deleted every time I shut down the computer?? Does anyone know how to fix this??

Didn't even KNOW there were this many. Had the girlfriend play this game way back in the day and I thought it looked fun, so I played it and got hooked. :P
Years later I was like "I should redownload that!"
Anyway, scanned the install file and all extracted files from it with Malware Bytes and Spybot S&D (Updated 21Setp2013). No threats detected.
You can play the game by running Diner Dash Series.exe and using the neat little interface, *BUT* there might be a problem. You see, when you run "Diner Dash Series.exe" it extracts everything to a temp file. On my win8 machine it's:
"C:Users\AppDataLocalTempir_ext_temp_0"
This could cause issues with games getting deleted, especially if you or another program clean out your temp folders.
What I did was go into "AutoPlayDocs" and cut all the Diner Dash folders out and drop them in my "C:Program Files (x86)Diner Dash" folder. Note that if you don't have a 64 bit version of windows, you won't the (x86) part after Program Files. All the (x86) does is identify 32 bit programs for windows 64 bit operating systems.
If you're having problems getting to your temp file, hold down your "windows" button (looks like a flag) and press R. This brings up your run screen. In it type this:
%temp%
Now press OK. You should be in your temp folder.
Really hope that helps you guys out.

I noticed some of the things I typed in my original post didn't get formatted correctly.
The location of the extracted files is:
"C:Users(Your user name)AppDataLocalTempir_ext_temp_0"
The "AutoPlayDocs" folder is inside of the "ir_ext_temp_0" folder.
Hope that clarifies things.
