Maple Lake is a pastoral, idyllic representation of a typical Canadian suburb. It’s what the Americans think Canada is like. Providing contrast to Maple Lake, JFK City, Maple Lake’s American neighbor city; is a hotbed of crime, porn, violence and other nefarious activity. In Maple Lake, when they’re not working on their garbage route or hanging out at home, Bob and Doug’s main hangout is the Skate N’ Bowl – a combination skating rink and bowling alley. There is also a little bar at the Skate ‘n Bowl where the guys can gather and have a beer.
