Here is Final Fantasy X Ntsc version for Ps2 Format: Dvd5 Ntsc Language: English Discs: 1 Image: MDS/ISO Requirements: Modded/Chipped ps2, or Swap Magic disc method. (You could try the homebrew exploit to (Free Mc Boot - Also known as soft modding for ps2), if your ps2 system isn't hard modded with a chip or if Swap Magic isn't working as a last resort. There are ps2 emulators but its not 100% & the quality isn't as good as playing your game on your ps2 console.) If your using swap magic and don't have a flip top, you'll need to first remove the front cover of the disc tray for use of the slide card. Free Mc Boot won't work on newer models of ps2 you'll have to use an older version the tutorial explains this. -- http://bootleg.sksapps.com/tutorials/fmcb/ You will also need to patch the iso (the PS2 game) with ESR disc patcher GUI v0.24a if your using free mc boot with ESR Elf to boot your p2 copies or backups (No-swapping required for esr method). After patching burn the iso with Imgburn or Dvd Decrypter to respectable media then use the ESR through fmcb after you installed everything to boot your game. You will still need to use the proper media for the game to run or load properly regardless if your using fmcb, a modded ps2, or swap magic. Try Verbatim DVD+R (Booktype to DVD-ROM), or Tayio Yuden, burn at 8x if its a 16x max. You really can't use Maxell DVD+R for example or some other brand as it more than likely will not work. Note: If fmcb isn't working and your Ps2 isn't Modded, Try Swap Magic to load the game. Compressed with Winrar. Uploaded this because most torrents were either in Pal format, and other torrents in the usa version were dead or just to slow. This is an awesome rpg game, and should be shared properly. Torrent also includes game pics. Note sometimes this game has glitches or will freeze or crash, its not from my end it's how they made the game itself, I have the orginal game and sometimes it does this. Oh and by the way my original game is brand new and rarely been used its free of dust or scratches, so its not from that trust me its how they made the game. If it does glitch just retry and it should work it doesn't always do this. Game is %100 fully working though, so don't worry. Also note that after the ps2 logo appears the screen will be dark and pause for a short while then game loads just be patient while waiting, again this is how they made the game. Burn with DVD Decrypter, or ImgBurn. Best to burn at half speed..if 16x then burn at 8x etc. If Imgburn doesn't work or game freezes or won't load try DVD Decrypter. Use good media like Verbatim DVD+R (Booktype to DVD-ROM), or Tayio Yuden. Remeber to seed this. Game ripped straight from the original Disc. Any Problems with it post a comment, don't trash the game if it hangs, works regardless just retry. Assumming your using high quality media to burn with. Enjoy! i get an error every time i burn at 2.4X
i tried with DVDdecrypter, Nero and Alcohol 120 so thats 3 wasted dvds
it seems fine until it hits around 80% then BANG ERROR
i burned at 8x and it worked but the HQ cutscenes seem chopy and then bangs every time Sin apears!!! lol

Use Verbatim or other high quality disc.
I Tested this game with a verbatim disc and game works fine for me. Although The start of the game may freeze or hang and you'll to restart just keep trying once you get to the part
on the beach you should be alright. The games cg cutscenes sometimes will cause a glitch. I bought the game new and original disc still did this during the begining of the game.

To Bullet_Saint I would recommend buying a pre-modded ps2 console online or try to find a modded ps2 on ebay. Just be sure if you buy direct from an online website or source that there legit and sell properly modded consoles. This is the easy and less hassle way to be able to play ps2/ps1 backups and copies without having to mod yourself or mess around with swapping discs and such.

Well I tested this out again and its fine.
Just use Verbatim DVD-R or Verbatim DVD+R (Booktype to DVD-ROM), to burn with and your set.

Ok i thought i knew how to do this, but i apparently dont. To play this on my PC with PCSX2 what do i need to do exactly?
When i try to run PCSX2 i get to the step where it tells me i need a legal copy of the PS2 BIOS and i dont know what to do.
Also when i mount the .iso in this torrent it opens a folder of files which my computer doesn't seem to know how to run.

This torrent worked great.
Here is what you need to do to burn it properly on a DVD for the PS2:-
1> Go to http://www.dvddecrypter.org.uk/ and download DVD Decrypter program.
2> Install DVD Decrypter on your PC and extract all the content from the rar file onto a folder on your hard disk.
3> Place a good blank DVD in your DVD drive. Run DVD Decrypter. Go to Mode->ISO->Write.
4> Browse for the folder where you saved the ISO file, and select it.
5> Set the write speed in DVD Decrypter to 4x.
6> Then click on the Write button. (Picture of Hard drive and a DVD). It will take 12 -15 minutes to burn but it will burn properly.
IMPORTANT NOTE: - I suggest that you turn off your internet and disable your antivirus till the burn process gets over. Disable and/or quit all applications running in the background(if any). By doing so the PC will utilize its entire memory for the burning process, thus not creating any errors while burning the DVD.
I did the same thing and the game ran smoothly on my PS2. It did not freeze even once during the entire playthrough. :-)

I'm confiming, IT WORKS on my chipped PS2.
Just follow khunt.999's procedure and it will be fine.
Misc:
Just set write speed at x1 (DVD Decrypter or ImgBurn) and software will automatically burn at lowest speed possible by your DVD burner (in my case it burns at x4).
It should work too if you burn it with ImgBurn since it is practically the same program and it had never let me down.
This file contains .ISO and .MDS files, just select .ISO and burn (you can completely disregard .MDS). It will work.
This is NTSC-U (SLUS-20312).

I downloaded the torrent and the auron issue happen once whit a Nero burn, but then i burn the dvd again on alcohol and it dosnt chrash any more... the settings: ps2 compatbly mode, set long transf for dvd (32), cpu high, min speed (i burned wht x2), "enable Buffer Underrun" and activate Data position measurement (dpm).

I got to some point in the game , after the beach and the part where u grapple sin and shoot it's fin and I saved, then shortly after shut the ps2 down,the next time I turned on my ps2 the save was corrupted, is it the game? the download ? the iso ? I'm using Verbatim dvd-r and burning it using ImgBurn at 4x speed, plz I need some help.. I re-burned it just now but I don't have the time to test it now, for the re-burn I closed all background programs ,my antivirus and my firefox, I've also tested the save on an emulator so I don't think it's the download, or is this just coincidence, I'll update on the re-burn asap (tom)

No you're wrong, Big_dude's rip is matching 100% with the checksums from redump.org.
When you extract the rar file in this torrent, in addition to some jpg's and a txt, you get 2 files:
a tiny media descriptor file - (0.004 MB) - FINAL_FANTASY_X.MDS,
the real ISO image file - (4300 MB) - FINAL_FANTASY_X.ISO
It is of course the 4300 MB (4.19 GB) ISO file that's interesting,
and it's that one the checksums at redump.org is made from.
If you generate checksums for the ISO file in this torrent,
you'll see that it matches the ones from redump.org:

@jrunke ...if you're still watching this torrent and haven't figured it out yet, the reason pcx2 is telling you that you need a legal copy version is because you probably downloaded one without a bios included. use this one and make sure you run the setup as admin or else you'll get stuck at 80 something % and it won't finish.
