Contrary to Mr Anti's above comment, I have to say this film is utterly disappointing and pointless. It's not a compelling story in the slightest and how anyone at the production company felt there was even a script in this is beyond me. It's a poncey, poorly put together, quite well acted, boring, unimotive contender for worst flick of 2008.To be perfectly honest, most animated kids films move me and leave me thinking more than this rubbish!
As for thoughtful, well, there are plenty of movies out there that give honest evaluations of contemporary, small-town America and/or stories of personal loss and sacrifice and do so much more effectively than this effort. Weak weak weak.
