hah complaining about 1.5 hr rip? my first computer build "3 years ago" would rip a dvd at good quality in about 8 hrs. now with my newest build its about an hour a rip at full quality.
want faster ripping? get more cores plain and simple. its the ONLY way to speed up video encoding\decoding.
