SGI Irix 5.3

An iso of Irix 5.3 from Mark Hoekstra (geektechnique.org). Since Mark died, I didn't expect his tracker to remain up for very much long. I haven't been able to test it personally, since the psu on my Indy died.

thanks for this, if You happen to download, follow this instructions to burn it.
dont´t use Nero, it´s not a PC or a Mac image.
burn it under linux with cdrecord , dont extract the .ISO, just cd-record it as regular single file, close the CD, DAO or TAO will work the same, Your SGI will be able to see the partitions 8/sash 7/fx, and the inst tools, its tricky cos sgi medias are stripped on partitioned CDs with a strange file system (EFS) and the blocksizes are weirder, finally dont give up, because if You are not using a SCSI toshiba cd reader, try another some old SGi workstation, this specially true for the indy, itcant handle All SCSI cd readers as it was supossed

realityengine_V20 pretty much summarizes it. If you try hard enough, you could probably get linux's read-only efs driver to mount it. I've had linux mount efs formatted hard drives before.
