Description:

Genre: Comedy/Animation/Action Runtime: 128 mins Audio Language: English DVD Date: 02.01.2010 Release Date: 02.06.2010 In New Yorks Central Park Zoo, resident penguins Skipper, Kowalski, Private and Rico use their incredible cunning and ingenuity to maintain order and prevent their obnoxious lemur rivals King Julien, Mort and Maurice from gaining the upper hand. A spinoff of the popular Madagascar movie franchise, this collection features all-new adventures plus favorites from the Nickelodeon series The Penguins of Madagascar Pinguins: Herselfs ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ *** Small-sized 2-pass re-encode of DVD rip for computers (PC, Mac), PS3 or Xbox, portable and mobile devices (Ipod, Itouch) . *** *** Video is 480x272 H264; audio is 44.1 kHz/stereo AAC LC and container is MP4. *** I can recommend CoreCodec for H264 (avc1, x264) video-playback, free DivX 7 for AAC sound-playback (and .mkv with AAC), Haali splitter (free, comes with CoreCodec) as the fastest and best combination for Windows Media Player. This is what I use. VLC player (free), mplayer (free) and KMplayer (free) are available as alternative for all platforms (operating systems) out there and have BUILT-IN codecs and MP4 capabilities. But, video quality is approx. 10-15% lower, blurrier at least on system I have. One can try CCCP matroska codec pack, where ffdshow codec/filter packs and Haali splitter comes in one package and support MP4 playback - but extra caution is required during the install process. QuickTime of course, supports H264/AAC natively. Many of movies I encode have embedded subtitles. So far, only VLC player is able to use them correctly. nice one !!!!! thanks for the share .

 twentyforty (2010-02-07)

Thank you madtown. I squeeze it from 1.4 GB, to make it bearable for download. "Nine" before this one too (360MB from 1.4 GB). Anyone could save 2 GB just on these two movies. Ans nothing has been lost, quality-wise...

ijaved (2010-02-07)

@twentyforty what are you using for compression?

 twentyforty (2010-02-07)

@ijaved: libx264 for video compression and neroaacenc for audio. All software have been either written, compiled or heavily modified by myself.
It is second time today that I've been asked, so:
To people, I recommend MEGui or HandBrake, or mencoder/mp4box/avisynth. These software masterpieces are for free, written and maintained by enthusiasts programmers.
99.9% of other software is just a rip-of of the work these guys have been doing for years and for free.

@sanyam: My friend... I have in the past, but...
It is pretty unique "way", strange to all people who are (let face it) a "consumers", with little (or less) knowledge about encoding, formats, how, which, when and so forth.
Every time I've done that it turned out to be mistake, and instead of putting what's left of my energy in finding and encoding, transformed my work into "Howto" do that or this, in some sort of audio-video forum/questionnaire - what this place (and my old "home") definitely is not and never become one.

Thank you, this one is for my granddaughter.

@madtown: Just finished skimming through Daybreakers.2009.R5.Noir.avi. Yes,audio is improved, but sill is thin, also sync (as always in mixing 25 fps Russian video and English line audio) is "here we have it, here we don't". Regarding my last week's Dayb(re)akers with shitty audio, I'll be waiting for DVD/BDrip.
