YOU do NOT NeEd some key... you understand? its windows xp "HOME" home doesnt have key... and anyways... your laptop has it already registered... because the motherboard & cpu in your laptop is self registered registered

Thank you very much! This works fantastically well! One thing you need to know if you're thinking of doing this is that a lot of drivers are NOT included in this. From what I read on forums it is a common problem for all Compaq presario M2000 owners. We scrached our head quite a bit trying to find them but here is a link:

This is for my own variety of compaq M2000. To make sure the drivers fit your computer you will need to check the stickers on the back of your laptop mine says M2301NR it can be different for you. Using the above link you can search your own laptop in the search engine and put "drivers" under "question or keyword".
Hope it helps. Now that we started fresh I'll redownload this file and seed it for those who might need it.
