The Day After (1983) - Nuclear War DVDrip

One may ask who are the luckiest - those who are killed, or those who survive. Picture quality is not great, I suspect that my DVD was a bootleg, but the film is so rare that it's worth watching. Quality is much better than a VHSrip. Look out for a very young Steve Guttenberg (Cocoon, The Boys from Brazil) Widescreen, original mono. XviD 576x320, AC3. 127 minutes, so I'll give it 800 Mb.

If you find this film interesting, you might also take a look at the British counterpart from 1965, 'The War Game'. That film was forbidden in England and really scared people in the rest of Europe.

Wow... I totally remember watching this flick and feeling uneasy whenever a plane few over when walking to school the following morning... for, like, the next 4-5 months!
The War Game is, as stated by a few others, highly recommended as well.
Now... anyone got the "Threads" mini-series collecting dust somewhere that they could rip/upload? :)

Poor video quality but this is a movie from 1983 so i will shut up for that :D I was looking for that movie sooooo long, i saw it at TV when i was 10 or something about that. VERY VERY good movie !!! Thank you Kuthumi ! You make my day good :D

cheers.. will try this one. reminds me of my 80s youth. star wars program.. ronnie ray-gun.. war on terror got nothin on thermonuclear war!
Also looking for this film or (telemovie?) where these guys in a space station come back to earth and theres been a nuclear war and its chaos/gangs of cannibals etc. scary. anyone?

This appears to be the TV version, not the theatrical version which was approximately 7 minutes longer.
Also, since the TV version would have been full-screen rather than widescreen or even letterbox in 1983, my guess would be that this torrent is a "widesceen"CLIP of a fullscreen TV version that was already a clip of the theatrical!
Which means the picture in this is missing a LOT.

I've made a mistake and watched The War Game (1965) first. This movie was a freaking soap opera in comparison! Avoid this cheesy attempt and grab the real thing. Thanks to VIP Kuthumi for suggestion!

Excuse me, but the people who used the first and to this day only nuclear weapons weren't "red bastards", they were Americans. So I guess the American government doesn't have any kind of morale either...?
The American politicians doesn't have any more morale than other. Until they take away death penalty I'll considere them "bastards without any kind of morale", too.
And yes, I know that comment is old, but I just had to answer it.
