Wow mate wouldn't be better to put comments when you will know to encode something? I just cropped the black bars, that's why you have 800 pixels and not 1080... In the future try to visit some forums (doom9.org if you want) before put stupid comments...

But that alters the overall aspect ratio. Try Doom9 yourself with particular interest to the tutorials. With regards ripping Ive been ripping rentals for years and have over 4000 movies and 200 music concerts on demand via a 2xThecus 5100(10Tb)NAS networked Tvix M-7000A to an Onkyo AV. This is all streamed via gigabit wireless anywhere in the home.
Your conconction wont make the grade as a worthy addition.

Well I have 8000 movies and I've ripped over 2000. You don't make sense at all. Why wasting bits on black bars? Why all the scene groups and generally all the rippers in the world crop the black bars? Maybe you know something, and the rest of us don't...

Codres, I appreciate that you have the resolution at 920 x 800 because it will play on computers that have an AGP card, there are many people that I know that can't buy a whole brand new computer yet

HD movies that are downloaded are worth watching on 720p itself.
ripping on 1080p increases the size and more over increases download time + less availability of seeders
