Okay guys lemme see if I can help out, i got it up and running with this torrent.
okay first run the installer. Let it run and don't worry about anything yet.
After the installer is done, start up 3ds Max 8. When it asks whether to activate or use, choose activation.
The screen that comes up should display across the top, among other info, the current serial number and the request key (referred to as "chalange key" in the crack's readme), which should be a bunch of characters grouped in fours.
Enter the new serial number as all 1's, (I switched the locale here to USA as well) as instructed in the crack readme; go into the crack folder and open the generator.
Type in the request key as it appears (I put in with the spaces, dunno if it matters or not) into the generator and click calculate. It'll spit out your authorization code, which you can just copy and paste into the text box on the activation screen. Should work now. Cheers.

As far as Internal Error # 2 first try this:
install 3dsmax with serial number when finished copy keygen to unstalled folder run 3dsmax when you get to activation window then click on keygen
the keygen should work now.

okay, so this is the issue. Whoever wrote the crack file missed a 1. So add one more 1 to the serial and confirm it. So both sides were right on this one. Just be cool!!!
