Please for the love of my job and feeding my children, seed!jchpdv9210 (2008-08-24)
sorry for the slow connection, but im seeding it as fast as i can. keep bitching and i'll just pull the damn thinghielo999 (2008-08-24)
jchpdv9210, mine was not a bitch, far from it, it was a cry of joy. I trashed the current setup of our Apple server and my boss is gone for a week, I didn;t have backup disks, and thought I was going to have to shell out the $900.00 to buy a new copy. Then your seed came along! Holy crap you pulled my ass from the fire.I sincerely appreciate the seed!
jchpdv9210 (2008-08-25)
alright well im seeding this on two machines and limited the connections to help get some initial seeds out faster. azureus sucks on my pc server but transmission on my hackintosh is upping at about 70kb/shielo999 (2008-08-25)
I will seed this for a month once I get it down. The least I can do.beabo (2008-08-25)
is this 10.5.0 or 10.5.2 or 10.5.4? Thanks.jchpdv9210 (2008-08-25)
i believe it's just 10.5 but you can update to 10.5.4 after install. like i said, i haven't tested it.thefishmaster (2008-08-28)
I am going to seed this on my 1meg upload connection for 6 months when its finished downloading its te least htat i can do, you saved me so much moneyMeAngry (2008-08-30)
I just tried to burn this two times (once with Disk Utility, once with Burn) and they both give read errors. So it seems there are some errors in the image itself. Is it maybe really necessary to burn it with Toast? Anybody else had any success?
antwion (2008-09-01)
I'll seed also once it done for a month or so.thank you so much!
antwion (2008-09-01)
could some one tell the best way to setup transmission so i can get a good download speed.jchpdv9210 (2008-09-02)
toast would probably be your best bet, but diskimage mounter should work too. in either case burn as slowly as possible. 2x to 4x just to make sure. Like I said, I haven't tested it. but all the files were there and i was able to get the images to mount on my comp.koldphlame (2008-09-04)
Seed when your finished downloading the rest of us are waiting.....jchpdv9210 (2008-09-13)
Like i said, i haven't tested it it. I was just able to get ahold of the disks and thought it might be useful to someone. Toast images should be fine as far as making bootable disks. Need a dual layer dvd to burn it. you could make a sparse image to get rid of the PPC code in it if you have an intel mac. Keep me posted if this does indeed work or not.jchpdv9210 (2008-09-19)
@tigerdirect. Your welcome.@ topsidesand. this is the server and client install. from my understanding, when you install you can choose to either set up a server or a client. the client is just the Leopard operating system. Whereas the server package manages the client computers.
can anyone confirm that this is working once burned to dvd? I had to make a toast image of my Kalyway Leo install dvd and that worked for making a bootable DVD. Just want some confimation for everyone else.
gzgg007 (2008-09-22)
how do i install this ??reinstatedon (2008-09-22)
I tried it and the burn keeps failing, at different times and speeds on a DVD+R DL. I will try it from a GUID partition next and let you know.reinstatedon (2008-09-22)
I was able to install it successfully off a GUID partition, but it's asking for the serial number. Can anybody help me out?reinstatedon (2008-09-22)

You can also use an iPod to install from a disk image. Here is a step by step guide:http://nickganga.com/2007/11/04/installing-leopard-using-an-ipod/
BTW, my 8GB Nano was just short of space (7.30GBs of space. DMG is 7.31. Kind of a pisser). I had to use my 120GB Classic--which worked awesome.

Uhhh... I am having problems with running this on vmware...I converted .toast to .cdr, then I tried to run it on vmware, but after the background picture appears, there's nothing except for a spinning circle....
someone, plz help...
longjohn1976 (2009-09-10)
I gotta ask those of you who on one hand are saying how awesome X server is that they need to run it, but on the other are complaining about having problems running this on their wintel boxes... you could at least provide Apple with the resources to create this awesome shit by buying their hardware. Just sayin'Timyoni (2009-09-24)

Ive tried to install it on my power mac g5 1.6 / 1.5gb ram and it says : install cannot validate base system package .... ill try to burn the image instead , I was installing it from a hard disk ...any ideas ?
deckhorn (2013-03-13)
you can not install from hard disk , must be usb or dvdgary2234 (2013-07-31)
For those of you with PowerPC Macs and no blank DVD9 discs, I figured out how to install this. You need a different OS X disc (any version will work, just pirate the Tiger or Panther DVD/CD or CD version and boot to the first disc), go into Disk Utility and make an 8GB Mac OS Extended Journaled partition. Then boot back into whatever version of OS X you currently have, restore the DMG to that partition, restart holding Option, and select that partition you just created. This will boot into the Installer.cantech (2014-06-10)
Hey jchpdv9210, Thank You. this worked out just great. Installed on an Early 2008 G5 Dual 2.0 the last of the g5 PPC family before the move to Intel Processors. The serial is in the comments over here..http://thepiratebay.se/torrent/4355781/MAC_OS_X_Server_SERIAL_AND_DISK_COVER
