I created none of the patches, all I have done is compiled the instructions and all required files in a neatly packaged torrent as I found it rather difficult to gather the required files and instructions for this particular game. I do not condone piracy, and I strongly urge you to purchase this game if you enjoy it. I however do believe in being able to FULLY test a game before I purchase it, without time limitations, or "demo" versions that do not show the full extent of the game. Once again, don't be cheap, if you like the game, PURCHASE IT. Without your purchase, the software developers cannot continue to make games, as it is un-profitable. Now for the instructions :D 1.) Mount the first dvd located in the Game folder in some sort of software that is capable of this (I recommend Daemon Tools Lite). 2.) Run the setup.exe file located in the first dvd. 3.) Proceed through the install process, it will ask you for the locations of a few files, proceed to direct it to the file located in the root of the first dvd you mounted, until it asks for the file named "disc2_0.sid", or similar. Once it asks for this file, you will need to mount the second dvd, and proceed as you did for the first dvd. Once the installation is done, it will simply close abruptly, don't worry, it installed fine. 4.) Copy the contents of the folder named "1" in the crack dir to the install dir. 5.) Copy rzr-etw8.exe from the folder named "2" to the install dir and run it. 6.) Copy the files from the razor1911 folder inside of the folder named "2" to the install dir. 7.) Repeat steps 5 and 6 for folders 3 and 4, replacing "rzr-etw8.exe" with the similarly named executable in each of these two folders. 8.) Delete the rzr-*.exe files from the installation dir, as they are no longer needed. 9.) Copy the contents of the folder named "5" in the crack dir to the installation dir. 10.) Run install.redist.cmd from the install dir. 11.) OPTIONAL: If you would like the warpath campaign, COPY the natives folder inside of the installation folder\data\campaigns to the main installation directory. All files were scanned with Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware fully updated, run-time and scan-time as of 7/1/2010 9:24 AM EST, however I recommend you scan the files yourself, as the definitions may have been updated to find new malware, and as I did not create the files, I cannot guarantee they don't contain any malware.

The only thing I've found so far that didn't work is the Warpath expansion. That's due to a communication issue in the original torrent that included that. Also this is only a hunch but I think the 11.89 Gb ETW torrent down there may be able to work with this one so getting the ISOs from that other torrent and the patches from this one should work.

I'm using uTorrent, and I see 2 seeders at this exact moment. It will go up and down throughout the day. I upload when I can, which is not during the day as my neighbor uses my internet also, and I'm more apt to make sure his internet connection is working, than I am to make sure the torrent gets uploaded as fast as possible. Also, as previously stated, all of the files in this torrent can be acquired from other torrents. I just found it a bit tough to find those torrents, and get the instructions in them correct, so that it works properly. I can't be arsed to find the torrents again, so no point asking. Another thing a few of you seem to forget here, is I'm not obligated to share the contents. I do so of my own free will, I reap no benefits from doing so, therefore telling me not to upload the torrent if I can't get it fully seeded in the time you like is pure stupidity. So odds are, you mixed up one of the crack steps, or this is required on your system for some unknown reason. I would check again to make sure you copied the cracks correctly, ie: copy them all again, no need to re-install. Then if that doesn't work I would download the file stated above and put it in your ETW install directory.

Try changing the graphics settings, see if that gets rid of the GUI glitch. It might be a particular setting that your graphics card doesn't like. This is the fully updated version of Empire: Total War, so there may be a setting in this one that's not in others, as there are no other torrents that I'm aware of that are fully updated.

"Empire Total War not war. Empire Total war could not be located in the Forderm. Re-install Empire total war and then run this patch again in the install dir again. dont forget to copt the crack content too!"
I proceded with the instructions step by step for 3 times but I keep getting this warning. Can you help me with that please. It is a long process to re-install for a fourth time.

Great compilation, before hand I had never attempted Razor's version and just stuck with Kaos because going through all the patches took forever.
I ran into trouble with the 1st patch in the 2nd file. During the application of the patch an error occurs labeled (111) that says that it cannot patch a file.

Doesn't work for me ...
Firstly, in the instalation of 2nd disc ask for 2.1, install some files , ask for 2.1 one more time and when i give it this 2.1 it just finish installation in one second. Later it doesn't want to install first patch and says 'ETW not war'. So I did step 6 and then run step 5 file. It worked. Next pacth good. Last patch says, after long search, that it cant find file Empire total war or something like that. I think that one patch is no problem for me so i copied folder 5, deleted rzr-*.exe and there is no install.redist.cmd. I think screw it, and try to play the game. It says no tbb.dll file. I downloaded it, but now game crashes on the first black screen with white letter and signs Total war. Is there any solution of my problem ??? I tried to install 3 times and still the same. I have never had such problems with torrent. I wait for any advises.

Hey I'm on step three. It seems I have to tell the disc to unpack every individual file, is this correct? It also appears that the installation process doesn't work, as I never get asked for disc 2, I simply get a message from windows when I'm about half way done telling me it didn't work, and then the install freezes.

Seems like Razor 1911 fucked us all over with this release of ETW. I was primarily disappointed after installing/reinstalling this about 4 - 5 times to no avail, with Empire Total War starting up and crashing around the first screen to the desktop. Said problem is produced by an APPCRASH error, and I'm using Windows 7. You'll probably experience the same using Windows Vista. That being said, I do not recommend this torrent for anybody with very little patience for installation procedures that seem far too elaborate than what they need to be.
Kaos's Full Rip works fine, except for a few nuances in the Independence Campaign, it won't have you go through all this garbage just so you can crash constantly.

Icemen i think you should put the Empire .exe on 1 to the Install then you patch .. so that the Patch can be done ... ok ? ,if this doesnt work ... then use Empire.exe on 1 again then patch it all though 3 .... then replace it with Empire .exe at 5 ..dont forget to put the Config files and data files at install .. also at the files of 5

Okay people, I think I know how to fix the problem. I'll explain some things first. I am on Windows 7, I installed this game before, plus I had mods. It didn't worked at first when I followed all of the steps correctly, then I managed to make it work (I got into the game and waited 1 turn), I don't know why it worked but I will say something that might help you and I hope it works for you also (Just a quick note, I installed this game on D: not C:). So what I did was:
a) deleted the installation folder and "The Creative Assembly" folder in the "Roaming" folder (press start, type in "run" then type in "Roaming" and there you will find a folder called "The Creative Assembly"). So that means there isn't any track of the game on your computer.
b) Once I installed the game and cracked it, I copied all of the files from the folder "2" except Razor1911 to the installation directory of the game (I copied "rzr-etw8.exe", "rzr-etw8.txt" and "rzr-etw8.sfv" in short). Then I right-clicked on rzr-etw8.exe, clicked on Properties, went to Compatibility and checked "Run this as an administrator". After that, just to be safe, I right-clicked on rzr-etw8.exe and clicked on "Run as administrator". Do that also for the folders: "3" and "4". Now, this is a very complicated and a poorly said step, so just ask me if something isn't understood.
c) The last thing I did that was different is that I ignored step 10 and step 11.
So that is how I got my game to work. I hope this helped somebody and if there is something you didn't understand, ask me.

I managed to go thru the lengthy install process using improvisation a couple times after I managed to get it to run, but then I quickly found out that there were NO combat sounds AT ALL, no gunfire, no melee sounds, just grunts and groans (the occasional scream) and the sounds of the troops marching. I just found a way to make this work with the newest darth mod (8.0 at least, not sure about 8.1). You add Empire as a non steam game in steam, run steam, run the darthmod launcher, set it to your liking then close the launcher and select launch DME rather than launch vanilla. Now go to steam and launch the game from within steam.

The "1" in crack is bad. 1st it is missing sounds_sfx.pack so the 1.5 patch froze everytime it got to that file before I figured out that I need a new one (there is a separate torrent for the sounds_sfx.pack) then in data/campaigns/main(main_2) are startpos.esf changed (from main -> main_2 and vice versa). The 1.5 patch crashes at those files if not placed correctly. So I was after several hours able to finally install the patch from "2". I'm really interested that it worked for so many people without this.

1. Have Steam installed!! Fixes can't find steam_api.dll
2. Mount and follow install instructions, I use Daemon Tools Lite.
3. The install is a bit long winded due to it asking for the location of the next install files. Make sure you are giving it the EXACT file name it asks for... There is 2 DVD's to mount during this process. Make sure you have the right disk.
4. After it has finished installing, it will exit suddenly without any prompt.
5. Go to Folder 1 inside the Crack Folder, copy everything to ProgramFilesEmpire Total War ( or wherever the Empire.exe is). Replace all files when it asks.
6. Go to Folder 2 inside the Crack Folder, Copy everything except the Razor1911 folder. Paste it into the ProgramFilesEmpire Total War. Run it.
7. Now copy the crack inside the Razor1911 Folder to ProgramFilesEmpire Total War.
8. Move onto Folder 3. Do the exact same thing. you need to copy the crack again also.
9. Folder 4. Exact same thing.
10. Go to Folder 5 inside the Crack Folder, copy everything to ProgramFilesEmpire Total War ( or wherever the Empire.exe is). Replace all files when it asks.
12. Run install.redist.cmd Which is in the main Empire Total War game folder. Follow instructions.
13. Finished! Run the game without doing anything else to see if it works. It should do! You have followed all these steps exactly!

Also as a side note. The Warpath Campaign seems to work when I don't copy anything to anywhere. I thought I was following the instructions clearly but it never seemed to work. So I just left it how it was before copying and it comes up.
Installed Darth Mod 8.1. That works. Although a comment above suggests adding it to steam..which caused mine to fail all the time.
So I just set it to manual start and use the Empire.exe. Works like a charm.

Listen to MeerkatofDoom. His instructions worked.
Just pay attention to his instruction in step #7. Effectively the cracking process involves patching on top of the previous patch. Thats whats in those Crack folders that are numbered. You do #2 then you have to put the .exe from #2 into the main folder so that the patcher in #3 recognizes that you've installed #2. If you don't then the patcher says it doesn't detect it.
In all this is an obtuse way to crack a game that installed is only 3 or 4 gigs bigger than its packed size.

Now for the instructions :D
1.) Mount the first dvd located in the Game folder in some sort of software that
is capable of this (I recommend Daemon Tools Lite).
2.) Run the setup.exe file located in the first dvd.
3.) Proceed through the install process, it will ask you for the locations of a
few files, proceed to direct it to the file located in the root of the first
dvd you mounted, until it asks for the file named "disc2_0.sid", or similar.
Once it asks for this file, you will need to mount the second dvd, and
proceed as you did for the first dvd. Once the installation is done, it will
simply close abruptly, don't worry, it installed fine.

4.) Copy the contents of the folder named "1" in the crack dir to the install dir.

5.) Copy rzr-etw8.exe from the folder named "2" to the install dir and run it.

6.) Copy the files from the razor1911 folder inside of the folder named "2" to
the install dir.
7.) Repeat steps 5 and 6 for folders 3 and 4, replacing "rzr-etw8.exe" with the
similarly named executable in each of these two folders.
8.) Delete the rzr-*.exe files from the installation dir, as they are no longer
needed.
9.) Copy the contents of the folder named "5" in the crack dir to the
installation dir.
10.) Run install.redist.cmd from the install dir.
11.) OPTIONAL: If you would like the warpath campaign, COPY the natives folder
inside of the installation folderdatacampaigns to the main installation
directory.

If anyone is missing steam_api.dll, i fixed the problem during step 3. For me, it asked for only 1 file in disc1, and when it asked for a file in disc2, DO NOT click anything. For me, the installer already had an idea of where the file was, so I ONLY mounted disc2 and press OK, nothing else. Then it might ask for the same file like 3 times. Direct it to the file as usual.

Might I comment that "OneBadBasterd" goes to find a very high place and jumps.
This torrent is 100% safe and working, with no problems at all.
If you are having any problems installing, my advice would be to be patient and follow the instructions to the letter. However, If you don't know what you are doing during the installation process then you probably shouldn't be downloading torrents...
