Islam aint the problem... As also Northern Island (ad.) was not the problem. The problem is that every murderer on the planet wants to hide behind 'terrorism' (formal albeit arguable political theatres), 'jihad' (justifiable retribution) or some other complex political/religious definition.
If the current rules aren't working well enough for us, then what-theeee-heck.... let's reinterpret them, so they damn well DO work for us and screw the suckers that we've had following those same bibles for the last few 1000 years! Let make those words work for US!!
It's NOT religion to blow up your own children or buildings full of innocent people 1000's of miles away from dark rooms populated with twisted ideals and perversions. It's NOT politics to leave a nail bomb under a table in an open market place....

As a chef I have been working for a number of muslims. Without exeption: If they can cheat a guy for a dime, they will! What goes on in the heads of those people, believing in a mix of judaism, christianity and a little dash of buddhism????? I'm not talking about what Islam, Muslims, the IRA do or don't do...nor about their own innate doctrines... I'm talking about the REAL people behind these writings and catechisms, behind the doctrines and political/religious frameworks and the REAL people that sustain these beliefs and writings.
Not going into who 'really' composed these writings which have emerged out of our histories (nor discussing how those same monks/religious fanatics prolly changed our documented history FOREVER at the same time...) Whatever.... at the end of the day, MAN physically documented these writings.... whatever his 'sources' (on the top of a peak or trapped under a mountain, blah).
Likewise, MAN through the ages interprets exactly how he wants to understand and follow these translations from the original archivists. And at the end of the day, MAN did put a real pen to real paper and write these materials.
The man/woman in the street (when he's not getting his ass blown to crap by a nail bomb, or being crucified for tryna be nice to the next guy) looks to his religion to find meaning in his life (and hopefully afterlife too), whilst it's bed-fellow politics is a fundamental trust of the people, by the people, for the people given to a handful of other people that really don't do their job most of the time (and can't be trusted with their own kid's piggy-bank).
The common man does not look to his religion to find the best way to make a nail bomb, as nor does he vote for this or that party so his country can spend most of their national debt on weapons to aggro or destroy another country (full of more common people who also don't wanna fight.....) Get the thread of this?
So who DOES have the need to build nail bombs and attack other people, whilst creating as much fear, terror and devastation as possible? Mhm... the guy with nothing else but greed and shit in his heart - the common garden murderer.
The man in the market place, his wife, his children and brothers and sisters only want to find hope and trust in their religions and politics, but unfortunately, as long as our religions and politics are serviced by the murderous hearts of those that always manage to manipulate themselves into places of power..... sigh....
We can only trust that our gods which are truly in us will care for us at the end of the day whilst sometimes we might hit a vote for a truly good man, woman, party (ad.) from our political houses to look after our physical well-being and needs.
Don't blame religion and the shit it appears to generate... blame the REAL people behind your religions and the REAL people who sustain your wars and fears.... the very, very real murderers who feed on your hopes and trust.

I'm thinking.... what happens when the common people have the rare privilege of being disconnected from the influence of their religions and politics? Wooow ... how/where could that possibly happen?
Ironically, in the middle of a battle field... the front-line in wore-torn Germany. Our common people were in effect abandoned and left to their own devices for short periods of time whilst their peers were sipping cognac and smoking cigars in back rooms, idly speculating where their game was heading...
So WTF... let's have a game of football whilst they decide what more shit they can come up for us next...
Nope...not everyone wants to make nail bombs...
