Born on the Fourth of July (1989) [BDRip720p.Ita-Eng][Nautilus-BT] Join [url]http://www.nautilus-bt.org/[/url] Trama : Ron Kovic è un giovane americano nato il 4 luglio, giorno in cui si festeggia l'indipendenza americana, proveniente da una famiglia di stampo cattolico e tradizionalista; i suoi interessi ed attività sono lo sport, la scuola ed una normale vita da ragazzo americano, ma con profonde convinzioni negli ideali americani e nell'agonismo sportivo ed il suo motto ricorrente è «O ami l'America o te ne vai». Nel 1967 decide di arruolarsi volontario nel corpo dei marines e viene destinato a partire per la guerra del Vietnam, spinto da uno spirito di servizio alla patria come i suoi antenati nelle guerre mondiali e nella guerra d'indipendenza ma in Vietnam scopre la realtà crudele di una guerra che non risparmia donne e bambini, unita al rimorso dell'uccisione per errore del soldato Wilson, avvenuta a seguito di un veloce ripiegamento. Nel gennaio del 1968 egli viene ferito durante un combattimento alla spina dorsale e come conseguenza perde l'uso delle gambe e diventa impotente. Tornato in America la scopre cambiata ed affronta il suo difficile reinserimento scoprendo la generale sensazione di inutilità della guerra. Si sente un eroe, ma così non è trattato, la guerra non è sentita dal Paese e si ritrova a fare i conti con il proprio handicap che non interessa a nessuno e l'unico conforto gli viene dall'amico Timmy, anche lui reduce e con problemi di tossicodipendenza. Incontra di nuovo Donna, la compagna di liceo amata prima della partenza, divenuta attivista del movimento pacifista, la quale lo conduce ad una manifestazione di protesta che si svolge alla Syracuse University, dove, pur non condividendo quanto ode dai relatori, vive per la prima volta in prima persona la repressione violenta della polizia contro gli studenti. Rientrato a casa inizia a bere ed ha scontri sempre più aspri...
