Description:
The 2005 Pendragon Pictures release of the British version of H.G. Wells's War of the Worlds. The setting for this version of Wells's classic is the same time frame as the novel.
This version is not as sophisticated with respect to the special effects as the Spielberg version, but it is worth giving a look. It is the Director's Cut where the film was shortened by taking out a good deal of boring footage.

almost all the films about this thing is set in modern times. the story would'nt work that great nowadays, the military would just nuke the shit out of those machines...baronobeefdip (2009-01-26)
this movie might not have state of the art special effects (well they are pretty decent but i can still do better with toothpick, glue and a lampshade)but please seed i want to see this movie for myself and also i might like it because it was the only adaptation that was noble to the book
