I think they're leaving FM radio once the merger goes through. Mel is combining both companies to compete with FM radio. No way is he going to allow one of his top talents to work for his competition. It'd be like NBC allowing Leno to do a second show for ABC. Anyway, it explains the cut in pay, obviously. And it's definitely great for us hardcore listeners who prefer the satellite show over the CBS show. Anyway, Goose, you're a fucking god.

I kind of thought the red alert might be like over a year ago when they were told to behave because the merger was supposedly going through back then.
If it is just them staying on satellite and leaving terrestrial, that's ok with me. It sucks that they'll be losing listeners, but I hate the restrictions put on them because of the FCC and even more so by CBS.
