Description:
Lights Out is an American radio series that started over 70 years ago.
Mainly horror stories, some grisly and others with dark humour, they were noted for their sound effects that had never before been used. Electrocution was portrayed by frying bacon, a raw egg dropped on a plate was an eye being gouged and a cleaver on a cabbage was a beheading. Strong stuff for the time!
The stories told by the creepy-voiced narrator were very popular in their day.
