chrisman930, I mostly uploaded this file for people who want to jailbreak or restore their iPod that already have the 2.2 iPod update. BUT you can use this file(I'm pretty sure) to do want you want to do. To this file to get the firmware for free you need iTunes 7 I think, you can have the new iTunes. Once you have iTunes 7 open right click your iPod and click restore. Then browse for this file and select it and it should be upgraded to 2.2 If you want to jailbreak your iPod you use a program called QuickPWN. Plug in your iPod, open QuickPWN, browse for this file and then follow the directions. If you need anymore help just email me at Joe.Walls.TPB@gmail.com
