I think that he was just very misunderstood. He did not have a happy childhood so as an adult he is trying to reclaim it as much as possible but of course it looks awkward for the outside world to see an adult doing so. Millions around the world have validated MJ's legend status and his music and memory will be with countless fans from all age groups, races, walks of life and countries. These facts speak for themselves.
