Over all this is a very good movie wuality wise, and also a very good movie too watch. but, if your not a person that is very open minded to the idea of ALIENS populateting the earth, then this movie might seem boring, stupid, or even offensive to some Christians and those of other faiths. But yes, the movie sucks. Prince_vlad, horrible grammar aside, is wrong. This movie treats the viewer like they are a complete idiot. Thinking about the plot while watching this movie, if you still dare to, is ill advised. You'll end up wanting to slap anyone involved in it's production.

In my opinion, the movie is great. Both views of Science and Religion were shown. I was amazed on how the director tried to show, through his eyes, Armageddon, Rapture (reference: Book of Revelation). I'd rate it as one of the best films that came out this year.

If you are having trouble downloading...
Check your network connections. If you see an internet gateway icon right click it. Check the display icon when connected box in the bottom left. Then click the properties button in the bottom right. Look for the program you are using to download. If it's not listed you can add it. Click on the program then click edit. Make sure the port that you have forwarded with your router matches that listed here. Then click ok. Now you should be able to download again. Cox recently made changes so you will have to use the internet gateway to connect to the internet. And you will have to configure it to open ports. If you don't see the internet gateway icon in the network connections, try resetting the modem. Watch for it to appear then right click it. I hope this helps people.

I agree with massraco, I really anjoyed this movie :-) And the climax? This is one of the theories about judgement day, and the movie builds up to just this climax. The only thing that I felt was a shame is that the characters, or the relationships between the characters were kind of superficial, even between father and son... Otherwise great movie :D

Now let's see.... some people saying this movie is crap, some saying it rocks (YEAH DUDE!!!.....). The ones that didn't like it seem more.... verbally capable, so I'd not download it. But it appears to be a 'catastrophe' movie, so I'd still give it a chance.

I can't stand shows about people who scramble around and rave to total strangers and authoriteis about UFOs or supernatural happenings, etc without any appreciation of what they sound like or the consequences of doing so.
I mean, who would do that and expect to be taken seriously? It's just not realistic and only happens in the movies. Too often.
I watched the show through and enjoyed the special effects, but had to fast forward through the 'raving' scences.

I'm actually suprised on how there are people saying this is the worst movie ever.
Personally I enjoyed this movie a lot and consider it to be one of the best of 2009 handsdown. As a side note, the airplane crash scene is one of the most intense scenes I've ever seen in a movie, period.

This movie is based on the occult teachings of Gnosticism (not to be confused with Agnosticism).
In Greek the word Gnosis means knowledge. Hence this movie is titled "Knowing".
Gnosticism is the Biblical teachings but backwards. In Gnostic teaching the devil did good by having Adam and Eve eat from the forbidden fruit of knowledge of good and evil because now they can become "gods". Hence at the end of this movie the kids run towards a tree of "knowledge of good and evil".
Only Gnostic or occultist learned people can fully understand other meanings in other symbolism that this movie put out.
I myself are a Christian and deny Gnosticism to be a false teaching of the devil and I know this stuff because I have taken the time to learn about the occult, freemasonry, witchcraft, Catholicism, vamporism, satanism, etc.
