is this file safe ?

spettmannen (2008-04-14)

This one works fine :)

True_astoroth (2008-04-19)

Clean torrent, but my soulstorm won't let me go multiplayer with the other races, only for campaign.

Alarik88 (2008-06-05)

this fucking shit does'nt work, and YES, I followed the instructions to the letter, so either you have to make a better patch, or your english sucks

dijpak (2008-06-20)

not working for me so far, runs up until the menu and then locks up and exits.

sac-a-main (2008-07-12)

Works fine, thx !
merci, merci, merci, merci beaucoup.
You saved my LAN, bro.

Evangelist_A (2008-07-27)

"InstallLocation"="D:\\games\\Dawn of War - Soulstorm\\"
Thats what double backslas means. Works fine.

gopher663 (2008-08-05)

here, all you do is open the zipped file, drag and drop into the THQ file under program files, then edit the regristry thingy, and to see what to type, right click any file in the THQ folder and it will tell you its address, when u first open up the registry thinng, every one will look like this
D:\\games\\Dawn of War - Soulstorm\\"
ok, now, change D to whatever your hard drive is named, mine is C, so it will look like this, C:\\games\\Dawn of War - Soulstorm\\"
now you add the driectory, if you installed it normally it should be this
C:\\Program Files\\THQ\\games\\Dawn of War - Soulstorm\\" notice how i used two backslashes instead of the usual one. after you do that for all 3 of the directories in the registry file, save it, close it and then double click it. it will merge its contents with your games contents and then you will be able you use all the races, if when you boot up the game and at the main menu it says "soulstorm may not be installed correctly, dont freak, it just means you typed it wrong, go back to the registry file and try it again, and carefully read what you typed, and make sure you double backslashed. well that about covers everything. have fun!!

Thanks for the upload :D
Nice to finally be able to play with all races

ElTaTa (2008-09-21)

Well I have to say the instructions are very clear, I followed each one to the letter, (yes i remembered the double \\) and when i load the game, create a multiplayer game I still CANNOT play as any of the other races...
HateWork uses the word "patch" in his description, but in this .rar file there is no "patch" at all. I only see a read me file, a registry edit file, and the 3 other WH game .exe files. So please explain what this "patch" is...
@gopher: i tried following your steps (which were just the original steps but longer) and still nothing happens, i uninstalled my game as well (deleting everything that had to do with the game from my registry before reinstalling) still nothing...
Are we supposed to put the same thing beside the "InstallLocation"= on all 3 lines in the reg editor? i wrote this each time under all 3 different game sections: "C:\\Program Files\\THQ\\Dawn of War - Soulstorm\\"
which as far as im concerned is what to do...
SOMEONE HELP PLEASE I DONT FEEL LIKE USING UP 6+GBS OF SPACE JUST TO PLAY AS EACH RACE ONLINE! capslock was for effect xD

HateWork15 (2008-12-04)

Hi everyone. I've been reading all comments. I've only tested this thing with Windows XP, don't know if it works with Vista.
I'll try to code a nice PATCH instead of this package, but basically it'll do the same thing automatically.

AngryCactus (2008-12-10)

this is seriously fukd up unloker dnt use it i done everything perfectly as readme said and it only unlocked dark crusade races

KingOfNoPants (2008-12-29)

Works great. For those having problems, make sure you copied the .exes to the Soulstorm directory (that tripped me up a little).

kav77 (2009-01-04)

This works fine just follow the instructions and don't be a retard.

kav77 (2009-01-04)

Okay okay fine maybe that was a bit harsh, or maybe not, I wrote out detailed instructions, I wrote this in like 2 minutes so sorry if sometimes its a little hard to understand.
Okay so basically after its done downloading go ahead and right click then hit open, NOT open containing folder. You will see all the files there, Select them all and move them into where you installed the game (same thing you did with the crack, basically you are putting on the three different game cracks and then changing some code around). Make sure you put all of the files in there, if they aren't it won't work >.>
then there are two folders that are in there that aren't executables, they are titled unlocker readme and unlocker.reg or something like that. Don't worry about the readme because its just instructions.
RIGHT CLICK the unlocker.reg file and hit open with -> notepad
You can kinda see what its doing, its inputing serials of the previous games for you, at the bottom of the list where there are serial codes and some other stuff, there will be a thing that says "InstallLocation" and then an =, after the = sign replace the writing in there with the file location of where your dawn of war is installed, it tells you on the top bar of the explorer when your looking at it
(yours might be the same as mine but just make sure, mine is
C:\\Program Files\\THQ\\Dawn of War - Soulstorm\\ (wherever it has that dark arrow just put in TWO back slashes) and make sure what disk its on its important yours might be on the D hardisk or something I don't know. If its wrong it won't work so make sure its right.
There are three different places you have to put that in, and put it inside the quotation marks, don't erase them. Then save the file, and exit out of that, then right click and hit open with 'Registry Editor' and then itll give you a warning saying its dangerous to mess with the code in the registry or something like that, but don't worry, it worked on mine fine with no problems.
Then itll say something about the registry being changed successfully. Then voila! you will be able to play all the races on multiplayer.

fangaas (2009-01-04)

PEOPLE, ALL LONG WINDED TUTORIALS GIVEN ARE MISSING A CRUCIAL STEP WHICH MEANS IT WORK WORK UNLESS YOU DO IT (this instruct is not even in the official readme): After changing the reg directory as said and running it, move the 3 .exe files to your soulstorm folder, and there you go, it will indeed work, quite logical really, just missed out.

SteamUsersW2k (2009-01-25)

Work around for Steam Users:
You must place the two origional games("W40k" W40kWa" in another folder out side of steam.
For example, I chose
C:\\Dawn of War - Soulstorm\\
And then edited my
"\THQ\Dawn Of War] "
In unlocker, so its install location was the above C Path.
I suspect this worked because Steam does not carry Dawn of War and Dawn of War Winter Assault in it's shop, and doesn't properly recognize these as the proper expansions.
Again - as far as I know -
IT WILL NOT RECOGNIZE THE ORIGIONAL TWO EXEs INSIDE OF STEAM -.
Install them in a seperate folder.

OMMG...after two hours of looking for a way to play with the other races....i have finally found my solution....

Vozier (2009-02-20)

Hi all
I have been trying to make this work for days, but whatever i try after installing the registry patches i run the program and it crashes, just closes after the initial videos, never getting to the main menu.
I really dont know what else to try. I downloaded th game from this same site:
http://thepiratebay.se/torrent/4104437/Warhammer_40000_dawn_of_war_soulstorm_%5BPC-DVD%5D_%5BSpanish%5D_

I read somewhere else that the crack causes the game to crash, is that so? And if so were can i download the proper crack?
The game works great til i try and install this race unlocker (and others i have found)
Last thing i did was reinstall the game and freshly install thi patch, but still get the same error.
One other wuestion, what is steam?
thanks in advance for your help guys.

Umm.... I Did Everything on the Instructions Perfectly and without Errors or Mistake, But I Can Only Play Tau Empire, Sisters of Battle, Necrons & Dark Eldar the Rest is Still UnPlayable & Everytime I Open the Game it Keeps Telling Me that the "Dawn of War May Not Be Installed Correctly Please Re-Install" When I Remove the InstallLocation String on Dawn of War Registry Folder that Message Disappear but yet Still Not All Races are UnPlayable only those 4 that I Mentioned Earlier, Help Me with this One, My Copy of Soulstorm from RELOADED
Thanks

wolfqaz (2009-04-11)

I have the same problem as the preson above =(
only can play necs, tau, darkeldar and sisters =(
It might be because of the new 1.2 patch?
Aww im so sad that i cant play imperial guards

wolfqaz (2009-04-11)

Woot i got the problem
you need to change the installlocation in the normal "dawn of war" on regedit to C:\\Program Files\\THQ\\Dawn of War - Soulstorm\\" aswell as in "soulstorm.

dethraptor (2009-04-17)

After changing and merging the registry and moving the .exe's to the soulstorm folder, it still didnt work for me. I ope Soulstorm and it says "It appears that Dark Crusade wasnt installed properly. Please re-install". I go to mulitplayer and i only have D.Eldar and Sisters.. :\

dethraptor (2009-04-17)

Never mind.. I checked the registry file again, and i apparently didn't save after the backslashes were added.. >_< It works perfectly now. Thanks for the upload!

Sebguer (2009-06-24)

For anyone still struggling to get this to work, go to gamecopy world and download the Dawn of War - Soulstorm v1.0 [ENGLISH] No-DVD/Fixed EXE from there and use it if you're using the Vitality release. Their crack is apparently a piece of shit.

brutal94 (2009-08-01)

It lets me to play online with all races, but, while I'm playing, it disconnects from the multiplayer and says that another user is using my same CD key!! Help!

Zeht (2009-08-21)

Thanks, this thing worked for me.

SIlentOmen (2009-12-13)

Hi i read all these comments and kept looking, heres a link to one that works well.
http://forums.relicnews.com/showthread.php?t=184816

Vittinge (2009-12-19)

I did everything right atleast 20 times and cant get it to work. I did the Dubble Backslash and I did save / run the file but all I got was that all the game was wrong installed. I also put the .exe files in soulstorm folder and the 2 others in the THQ and tryed it out that way but only same thing happened again

thuglife6669 (2010-03-05)

so i did it all even the \\ when needed. then i ran the registry and it said it worked. i have it in the warhammer - soulstorm file. when i go to play a lan game i still cant play all the races any ideas??

jimbonX (2011-02-12)

For noobs out there who don't get it how to do (and if still don't get it then probably got raped by Pedobear):
Skip the last part what it is said in read me, just confuses.
1. INSTALL SOULSTORM
2.PLACE ALL THE PREVIOUS D.o.W.exe (40k, W.A, D.C.) in the same document as S.S.exe
2.STARTA REGEDIT
3. SEARCH: [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\THQ]@=""

newinhuman (2011-05-16)

having a little trouble,
followed recipe but it now asks for a cd key upon entering main menu by which those listed have no affect nor do previous cd keys USED. the patches alone seem to have brought more races in the game than this unlocker
but i do get to play as tau when used, with this unlocker woohooo.

frankyman_88 (2011-12-20)

Got it working eventually, I had to make a few changes though. For 64bit windows, had to change the registry path to
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\THQ\],
and install path must be entered like this "E:\\Program Files\\THQ\\Dawn of War - Soulstorm\\". However, once I made these changes the keys were recognized as valid, and I was able to use the fix on two computers and play over LAN. Thanks

Slammer94 (2011-12-28)

^Thanks! That tip about 64 bit systems FINALLY got got all the races working on Win 7 Ultimate x64 for me. Just note that you have to add the extra Wow6432Node part to all the keys, not just the first one. So basically change the rest of them to
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\THQ\Dawn
Of War]

duka1993 (2012-06-29)

works perfect ty!

Dyzzles (2013-07-07)

@Frankyman_88 and Slammer94
Thanks! I've been trying to get this to work for a while now. Adding that to the path worked. :)
